“Great little bar. Great range of beers, loved Desperately Seeking Dopamine and the 12% smoked chilli stout was interesting. Friendly staff, great decor and the added bonus of a vinyl shop upstairs.”
“Like a home from home! Been coming here for a couple of years now and my kid loves it, and I do too. Lots of thought out areas that foster imaginative play. Staff are so kind and friendly. Food is very reasonably priced, wholesome and comes with veggies/fruit which is great for the little ones. Always good music on too! Parking is a challenge due to the nature of the site, so just be prepared to have to park a bit further away when busy.”
“Just had breakfast at this gem of a place. We had a lovely welcome on arrival. I don't eat beans and asked for mine without, they gave me fresh tomato as a substitute which was lovely. You can have a free hot drink top up if you want. Breakfast was super tasty and just what we wanted. I mentioned when we were leaving that I'd saved half a sausage for the dog. The owner called me and gave me 2 sausages to take home. How kind! Definitely worth a visit. Thanks so much, we will be back!”
“I moved to Pudsey about a year ago, and this was my first time trying The Bearded Sailor. I have to say, everything was top-tier quality , from the lightning-fast and friendly service (even when busy) to the lovely, tender, perfectly battered fish and the flavoursome homemade tartar and curry sauces. Everything about this chippy oozes quality. Easily the best in the surrounding area, if not all of Leeds.”
“Great service. Quality milkshakes my daughters loved it. Went in 20 minutes before closing and the lad serving could not have been more helpful - even got the footy scores off him!”
“PERFECT! There is no need to repeat that word because it applies to EVERYTHING. Desprate for a nice breakfast after landing at Leeds Bradford Airport. Googled for an all-day breakfast nearby and struck gold. No waiting, seated straight away, the atmosphere is perfect, very relaxing. Ordered straight away and served very quickly. What you see in the pictures of the food is what you get, very well presented by quality staff. If you have not visited yet, when you do, I think you will be returning.40-minute drive for us, but we will be calling again. The Corner House puts many larger restaurants we have been to, to shame. Visited Murgatroyds a couple of weeks ago. They were worth a 3.5 > 4.0, a 15% refund required there. Felt like paying more for what we received at the Corner House. Give them a try. They will not let you down. Dave C”
“A lovely place to go for an excellent coffee in a relaxing atmosphere away from the bustle of town. Great service, good value and plenty of choice of coffees and beverages.”
“This is a little hidden gem of a place. In the heart of Idle village. The staff are always eager to serve you and they are all very polite.very tastefully decorated, plenty tables and seating. Varied menu, breakfast, sandwiches hot and cold, cakes and icecream. Various coffee's and tea. All at a reasonable price.”
“Great place for a hot sandwich, good food, quick service and reasonably priced”
“Lovely little cafe. The owner is so kind and thoughtful! Brought my son a little plate of marshmallows for his hot chocolate after overhearing he loves them, so lovely.”
“Great coffee and breakfast here, do pop in, it’s fantastic. We left as they were putting out the lunch dishes, i will certainly be back to try those.”
“Great place to stop for delicious cakes and excellent coffee as well as a range of light meals, can certainly recommend the bacon sandwiches! Helpful staff who took time to help with our dietary requirements. We were able to find a good choice of food for people with food allergies. Good place to go with children. Dog friendly too, our dog was very happy with the dog treats! Pleasant sitting out area. Close to Saltaire. Very convenient for a stopping place on any of the lovely walks around the area.”
“An absolute gem, friendly staff, great food (one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten!) and great coffee, all at very reasonable prices. Will be back”
“There are not many Japanese restaurants in Leeds. Feed is one of the good Sushi restaurants in Leeds. Besides Sushi, the crispy Tempura is a good choice. Free street parking.”
“Lovely wee place for a bacon sandwich or a cooked breakfast. Coffee delicious as was the food and the brownie was to die for. Highly recommended.”
“Burgers ready within 10 minutes. Crispy fries where you can actually taste the truffle. Loved the complexity of the burger fillings- this is a burger with all the works. Almost Famous used to be my favourite burger place, but Digin's Hut beats it. Benches outside while you wait for your takeaway. £12 for the 'Rate my Takeaway beef and £10 for the pulled pork burger (which is probably my favourite), Doughnut was thick and heavy.”
“I went for a hearty, wholesome full English (vegetarian) breakfast. My Uncle had the non-vegetarian, and my cousin had the Eggs Royale. For me, everything tasted precisely as expected (and hoped for) - particularly the poached eggs, which were made perfectly (runny golden yoke in the middle when cut into). Overall, the atmosphere was busy, but cosy- an ideal place to enjoy breakfast on a Saturday morning. Plus, I appreciated the open kitchen plan - you could see how everything was being cooked. Would definitely come back here again - and I recommend it for those looking for a cooked breakfast that doesn’t disappoint.”
“Nothing too fancy but all done really well. Full breakfast went down a treat. Good price, good food, will be back.”
“We had our daughters 5th birthday here today and we honestly couldn't of asked for a better party The staff was so attentive from start to finish, the food was presented lovely and there was a good variety of foods and they also catered for different allergy requirements too. The disco was amazing, the party host Darcie was great, she got all the children involved, the snow machine at the end was definitely a hit, Our daughter said it was the best day ever. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others Thank you once again”
“The most owners are so friendly, they do the best coffee in leeds , absolutely fantastic!. I go when I can , it is part of my cycling route and I just can’t pass without having a beautiful coffee, service is quick. Lovely atmosphere. Great coffee cafe.”
“The Mill is perfect for 5–6 year olds! There’s plenty of space to climb, run, and explore, with activities that are just the right mix of fun and challenging. It feels really safe, the staff are friendly, and my child always leaves happy (and tired!). A brilliant place for kids to burn off energy.”
“Clean, lovely food. Wish they'd answet the phone”
“Went for lunch today, staff are so lovely and the food is excellent. My elderly mum could only eat half her prawn sandwich but she said it was so delicious she wanted to take it home. I asked the young man on the counter and he said no problem he would wrap it up for her. He brought it to us and said he had put a pack of crisps in for her too. Great service and we will come again very soon.”
“Lovely, hot Full English breakfast and a very friendly owner. Highly recommended”
“We called in for a coffee which we upgraded to coffee and bacon & sausage sandwiches ... good coffee and sandwiches were very nice. Will definitely return.”
“Very good atmosphere great service, the tea and Strawberry daiquiri are out of this world, very friendly staff would recommend coming here and everytime weather it’s with friends or family”
“Not eaten here yet, but when my daughter fell outside their shop, two staff members came out to help, gave her a lolly and a tissue. If they have such kind people working there, I think it must be worth a visit.”
“Food is good, and prices are good. There’s plenty of space so I was able to sit here and do some journalling for an hour too.”
“Call in for their super fresh sandwiches when passing, every couple of weeks or so. The last time,I noticed some seekh kebabs on display, so I got a couple of those as well. They were excellent. Last week,I got chicken masala and chicken and spinach curries. I'm born and brought up in Bradford, I know about curries. These are up there with the best. Homemade, just a small cafe and takeout, but serving fantastic food. Busy around lunchtime, but well worth a visit. So pleased to have discovered this business, a small but exceptional range of quality food and coffee.”
“Went today for the first time. Really nice food excellent coffees but most if all the lovely kind waitress Helen. She was beyond lovely and so helpful. Thank you Helen we will definitely come again xx”
