Their Christmas nut burger was a delightful mix of flavours and textures. The loaded fries with vegan cheese and red onion chutney was delicious.”

“Shared a range of starters with my friend, great portion sizes and particular standout was the Tzatziki. Main could’ve done with more seasoning but I would go back to try other mains. Halloumi is out of this world - definitely recommend. Overall a lovely experience and would recommend.”

“You want ale, you wsnt lots of ales, you want locals to chat to you, you don't want Sky sports distraction, you want character, you want small pub, you want a proper slice of English hospitality.....you got all these at the Gardeners. And it is reasonably priced too...I only popped in for a half and hours later left. Plenty of well kept ales.”

“I think this must be fairly new as I have no recollection of this pub / restaurant. Thomas Paine has strong local connections, unlike Casta and Madge. He helped inspire the American revolutionary war and almost lost his head in the French one. Silly so and so. I had another Harvey's Sussex best bitter. One of three real ales on my visit. Very good. Up steep stairs finds a roof terrace. Must be lovely on a warm sunny day / evening. Free wifi.”

“Casta amd Madge found yet another CAMRA Good Beer Guide regular. Four real ales and a real cider. Had my first ever beer from Hand Brew ( Canterbury, Kent.) . Very good. A lovely front room ( couple of tv's) and a surprisingly large beer garden. Upstairs for another room with darts, pool, TV's etc. Serves food. Close to railway ststion.”

“Best curry house in Brighton. We order here every time we want Indian cuisine. Food is unbelievably good! Always full of flavour and never disappoints. We order directly through their website where the food is better priced as opposed to just eat. Delivery is always quick within an hour and is always hot. I highly recommend the chicken madras, it’s delicious. The aloo gobi is incredible. Real authentic tastes in everything you buy from here. Highly recommend Bhindi’s.
