“I've lived in South India on and off for 30 years and when I'm back here, have always missed proper southern food. I've even travelled to Croydon just to eat idli when the missing has got too bad. These people make extravagantly good proper southern food. If you know this food, I guarantee you that here you've found the real thing. If you've never tried it, get in and eat! My favourites.....vada with a cup of tea in the afternoon; idli sambar for brunch with a side of coconut sambal; string hoppers and chickpea curry for teatime; paratha and chicken lollipop as late night munch.”

“Just to highlight the excellence service - Spice I Am is our favourite takeaway and the food is always excellent. On this occasion they got our order wrong with one of the curries and i didn't see when i collected - we tried what they had sent but it was too hot. So i rang them and explained and they apologised and had the replacement delived to us without a fuss. Can't praise them highly enough”

“We did the bottomless brunch with Szymon aka shimmy!! What a brilliant time we had. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left he was attentive and made us feel like the only people in the bar despite the bar being full of Christmas parties. Would thoroughly recommend the bottomless brunch and Harlequins especially if served by Szymon!”

“I like to use a restaurant a few times before I leave a review, I've ordered from Mumbai kitchen about 6 or 7 times, and I've throughly enjoyed every meal I've had. The food is really reasonably priced, not to expensive. I really like the curry box, it's perfect for one person, and comes with rice, the chips are nice to . The staff are always friendly to. I would definitely recommend giving Mumbai kitchen a try. It's five stars from me!”

The service is always warm and friendly, and the atmosphere is great both inside and out, with elevated views of the beach, the Steyne, and Brighton in the distance, which makes it especially nice in the summer. “We went for the all you can eat Chinese and we can say it was some of the best Chinese food we have ever eaten! The duck was delicious and crispy and everything was cooked to perfection! The staff were all absolutely lovely and very attentive. The food came nice and quickly and the staff were constantly checking if we wanted to try more dishes. Couldn’t recommend enough! Also is a huge venue so would recommend for bigger groups of people (6-8).”

“This is such a hidden gem! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, the food tastes as good as it looks like on the photos and is cheap for such quality. There is an ‘boutique’ tea section I fell in love with. There are so many different items on the menu I’d like to come back and try especially Lebanese themed items! The only thing is it is a bit dark inside inside but maybe that’s just my preference.”

“We went here for our anniversary dinner, wonderful food and service! We had the duck and lamb, both very tender and juicy. For starters we had the duck roll and scallops, I normally don’t enjoy seafood which I always find “fishy” but I loved the scallop, complemented by the sauce/puree that goes with it. For dessert we had the mango cheesecake, not the most impressive but not bad and would overall recommend this place !”

“Absolutely wonderful gem in the heart of Worthing Town. Food excellent quality and exceptional value. Very friendly and little Bobby is so adorable. Great for wheelchair users and my fussy dad who felt very at ease and enjoyed his butterfly chicken immensely. This has not been my first visit because I like to go back to see if the food is consistent which it is hence this review. I'll be back again soon”

“We came to Efes on a whim and what a great decision that was. Efes is easily the most authentic and lovely experience we've had in Worthing. Our server Ali was attentive throughout. We will definitely be returning and I would recommend the experience to anyone. The food was incredible, to the point where we took home leftovers and argued between us over whose dish was best (we couldn't decide! Both were amazing!). A 10/10 experience - the kind where if someone who was visiting Worthing asked me where I'd recommend for dinner, I would say Efes.”

“Oh my word - we popped in last night before the cinema for a bite to eat and wow wow wow. It was so delicious! We shared mushroom and truffle arancini balls which were so so tasty, as well as Sicilian hot dogs and cheesy chips. We also had a sweet treat each after - I hade a pistachio sfogliatelle and my hubby had a white chocolate puff and the whole lot was just absolutely delicious! We will be gong back asap! It was also lovely to sit just outside in the beautiful evening sunshine!”

“Cracking selection of well kept cask ales (5 available at the time of visit), superb range of keg and a well stocked fridge with beer from all over the world. You're sure to find something you like here. A warm welcome and some amazing snacks - try the poppadoms, thank me later! Dog friendly and a toad table...pub heaven. Well done Jim, another winner.”

“Hands down the best Bulgarian meal I’ve had outside of Bulgaria. Went to Donchevi Kitchen & Bar today with my other half for lunch. As I’m from Bulgaria, I always wanted to share my cuisine but previous attempt have not been successful due to lack of quality original Bulgarian ingredients or chef abilities. This restaurant on the other hand tasted like home. We had kufteta, shopska salad, mousakka, parlenka and chips with Bulgarian cheese. Everything was not only authentic but also delicious. I loved it so much I had to ask for takeaway bag to take some home. I definitely recommend the restaurant to both Bulgarians and to everyone keen to try something different which they will enjoy. My partner is a bit picky with their food as they are British and tend to go with Italian food or British but they loved it too.”

“Best cafe I've been to in years. 4.7 stars is definitely worth a look at. And what a breakfast it was. Everything cooked to perfection. Staff are wonderful friendly guys. That really know how to run this place and do it well. Ordered and food on the plate within 5mins. Coffee was really nice. 5 star rating for me. Let's get this up to a 4.8 as it's well worth it. And another thing under a tenner. Can't go wrong at all”
