“Kirsty is brilliant with my dog Fudge, he was a very nervous dog, Kirsty has worked wonders with him, he loves his walks or should I say runs with Kirsty, fudge gets so excited on walk day, at least half an hour before she arrives fudge is waiting by the front door, and when she pulls up in the van he is ready with excited kisses for her, Kirsty really has a way with animals, a natural connection which is rare to find, she really is one of a kind and I’m so glad we found her,”

“Lovely, quiet oasis with easy access to South Downs Way. The fact that there is a lovely host who is a talented water-colour artist is a bonus. The breakfasts were heart and very well prepared. No issues dealing with one vegetarian and one coeliac/celiac. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms quiet as it faces the back garden. Easy walk into the village for meals, pubs and groceries. The official "greeter cat" is a real character. (See picture).”

“We went to their Open Garden yesterday. It was delightful: fantastic 250yr old walled garden, delicious tea, herbaceous borders. There were bunches of flowers, Swiss chard, green beans, courgettes and their own honey for sale. And everyone was very welcoming. Thank you”

Spacious bedrooms very tastefully decorated with lovely bedding and plenty of soft fluffy towels. The characterful cottage is down the end of a quiet country lane where it's so peaceful you can hear the morning and evening birdsong. Lovely walks right outside the door and plenty of interesting places to visit within a short drive.”

“Stayed here with a family of 8 adults for 3 nights, absolutely brilliant. Everything provided, one only needs to bring the food. Lovely walk along the beach going east and a cafe is there to be found after half hour or so. Great pub/restaurant, close to the beach nearby, offering lovely food and drink. 7 minutes walk. In the village there are 2 more pubs which we have not tried. Local cornershop is also in the village. About 7 minutes walk.”

“Our second time staying here, it was just as wonderful as our first. This cosy cottage has everything you need and really feels like a home from home with free parking outside the cottage. The communication with the owner was friendly and efficient, the bottle of wine and cookies that welcomed us was a very nice touch. There’s a lovely pub next door as well as the South Downs literally on the door step. The bus stop to take you into Eastbourne is about 8 min walk and you can be in the town centre within 10 mins. If you are looking for a traditional country cottage with a cosy feel in a great location I cannot recommend this place enough. Can’t wait for my next visit!”
