“Brilliant little coffee van. I go every time I’m there and or near there. Adam is a brilliant dude as well and a good chat when there is time. This is the definition of support local.”
“Great little sandwich shop. Always a pleasant service and good value for money. Recommend!”
“A fabulous independent family run traditonal French Restaurant (actually run by a French family), which puts many of the so called French inspired restruant to shame. We ordered from the set lunchtime menu (two or three courses), which was good value with two choices for each course & freshly prepared. I would definitely recommend & also suggest you book ahead as the restruant was close to full when we arrived.”
“Great little shop, hidden away but plenty of parking and has small café run by volunteers. Showcases local produce, and lots of eco bio products. A little more expensive but as a little treat worth it”
“Jaw to the floor fantastic. First time here after a fancy meal out and so glad we spent less than a tenner on a waffle rather than having a dessert at our original place. We shared a kinder bueno waffle between two of us and it came with a whole chocolate bar, kinder sauce, ice cream, as well as soft serve and chocolate flakes. 10/10 would recommend. Really shocked by the other reviews, this will become a new favourite for me ”
“Came in only for coffee. Was lovely and chilled place to sit down. Lots of plants! The coffee was delicious. Had a selection of cakes !”
“I was cycling along the Bristol Road when I hit a stone and my bike fell into the road. The owner of the cafe ran straight over with a first aid kit and offered to help. I was shaken up but didn't feel I needed medical attention so she invited us into the cafe to recover. She very kindly made myself and my partner a cup of tea and was very friendly. I had visited the cafe years ago and could see that it had been refurbished to a very high standard and was clean and inviting. After drinking our tea and having a lovely chat with the owner, we went to pay and she would not accept. This was incredibly heart warming and such a lovely gesture. Thank you so much! I would highly recommend Zubs for cleanliness, great food and a warm and friendly atmosphere!”
“Very good food and a lovely atmosphere, the best cafe in the Bs9 area !”
“Absolute legends - best sarnies in Bristol and they have just replaced my meal after it got blasted out of my hands by the wind. 100% recommend this iconic institution”
“Very nice place for breakfast. Plenty of seats, interesting interior design, feels nice and warm. Reasonable price for a big portion. We really enjoyed the food and coffee. They even have a bar inside if you fancy an alcoholic drink ! :) The staff were lovely and welcoming. I strongly recommend this place. Well done guys.”
“incredible flat white and the cookies are the best i’ve ever had! staff were so lovely, lovely little cafe :) side note - the playlist was amazing, this place has great vibes!”
“Good range of food and drinks all reasonably priced. Best of all is that the food is home made and there are some good gluten-free options. Polite, friendly and helpful staff too. The decor is retro and fascinating. If conversation funs dry there are books on the shelves and games too.”
“I’m not a vegan but I LOVED the food here. We went as a family today and we all found something we loved and would want to eat again. The place is clean, the owners are so friendly and the food is homemade and fresh. So good that we took extras to go as I needed to taste those cupcakes again. Loved it - we’ll be coming back regularly!”
“Absolutely fantastic service great food all the girls are so friendly and helpful”
“I really like this coffee shop. There’s always a good vibe, not too busy, good service, good coffee, and just a nice place to sit and chill. The music is one of my favourite things here.. slow funky jazz type stuff. There’s comfortable seats at the back and tables designated for laptop/no laptop use. Only reason I gave food a 3 star is that there’s not that much of it, just cakes and pastries.”
“Beautiful setting in the remaining standing part of the old castle. Fairly short menu - mainly toasties and sandwiches - alongside cakes, crisps and hot and cold drinks. Decent outside seating area to enjoy during warmer weather. Shared a bacon sandwich with the small child - impressive amount of bacon, and toasted local bread. Toilet was a little grim but otherwise all good.”
“We tried this place for morning coffee. It was lovely, comfortable seats and a buzzy atmosphere with lots of people enjoying conversations. Plenty of space for workers on phones and laptops. The coffee was delicious and really well presented and whilst we didn't have anything to eat, the cake and pastries looked delicious. I really enjoyed this place and look forward to revisiting it soon. Highly recommended.”
“Popped in early on a rainy morning, so it was quiet. Lovely decor and gentle lighting create a nice atmosphere along with nice music. Lovely Flat White brought to the table after ordering. Was pleased to see laptops were not permitted in certain areas, which is an excellent idea. After all, it's a coffee shop . Nice selection of cakes. However, I was good and refrained.”
“Cafe Amoré is the most iconic cafe in Bristol, with stunning decor and a large open space. The cafe has many options to choose from from different beverages and coffees, to sandwiches, pizzas, breakfasts and many more. The food is always great quality here. There is plenty of seating in the main area, upstairs and also outside.”
“This place is a gem. Halal and vegetarian. Right next to a mosque for easy access for prayer. Nice devour and table service, can't fault it to be honest. Update:2021 The place has been refurbished and the food is as great as ever. Managed well during the pandemic and and still as vibrant and energised as ever. A real microcosm of Easton. Can get busy on Fridays in particular.”
“The coffee wasn’t amazing, but it’s definitely one of the prettiest spots I’ve been to. There’s a huge round window that makes you feel like you’re on a boat, plus a lovely balcony facing the river. The decorations are really quirky.”
“Excellent service and fantastic atmosphere. The team went out of their way to help us with missing brown sugar from a Christmas meal when the shop on site, shut early. Thank you so much to them all.”
“A little gem in front of college green serving an excellent coffee. The coffee here tastes different and refreshing. It's a small independent outlet run by lovely welcoming people. They also have excellent food options with snacks and lunches including a full vegan menu. The interior is beautiful and done tastefully, there is bigger space downstairs which can accommodate more people. Do visit this place to have an excellent coffee when you are in the heart of the city and in middle of all the action, it's quite a refreshing break.”
“Wonderful cafe run by volunteers which brings back childhood nostalgia of the seaside. Delicious coffee and cakes on offer as well as baguettes and pasties. A warm and friendly spot to stare out at the sea.”
“I don't very often go to the M&S cafe because I thought it would be overpriced but I was pleasantly surprised when a slice of cake and a cup of tea came to approx £5. The service was really good. I was feeding the baby at the till and the lady offered to bring my drink and cake over. A chap brought it over in the end but he was very thoughtful and got me some sugar too! Will definitely be returning.”
“Didn’t stop at the cafe for a drink but I had walked about 10 miles on a very hot day. I asked the waitress behind the bar if they could fill up my bottle and my dogs and they were all very kind and happy to help and very sympathetic. I’d recommend going as the staff are lovely and do a great service!”
“The most delicious scrumptious hash browns of my life so far. Really nice atmosphere and whoever thought of loaded hashbrowns I want to personally thank them.”
“Really friendly staff and good value for money. Afternoon tea was delicious. Well worth a visit.”
“Great local fish and chip place with really lovely new owners. These fish and chips are as good as you'll find in the area with excellent homemade mushy peas and tartar sauce. Large child friendly restaurant to eat in or take away. Try them out!”
