“Lovely gardens behind the Holbourne museum. A play area for children and walks along with benches for you to sit and read or relax and pass the time on a sunny afternoon. Gardens are well maintained and beautifully presented.”

“Very nice cafe. Really nice breakfast. We will definitely come here again. Clean and tidy place throughout.”
“The coffee wasn’t amazing, but it’s definitely one of the prettiest spots I’ve been to. There’s a huge round window that makes you feel like you’re on a boat, plus a lovely balcony facing the river. The decorations are really quirky.”
“A nice enough spot to visit before or after visiting the surrounding area. The food and drink were greatly priced.”
“Local favourite venue. Excellent coffee, great food, slightly expensive. We paid £25 for two flat whites, a wrap and pulled pork with chips. Biker's hang out, mostly older guys, not too noisy. Recently expanded and much bigger than was. Lots of outdoor seating when it's nice. About 20 car parking spaces. OK weekdays but likely to be full at weekends. Enjoy!”
“A beautiful lido. It has a really big main pool with half sectioned for lane swimming during the open swim session, so you can still swim. There is a slide on the open part. Great cafe, which is cheap. Fantastic ticket value for the facilities.”
“Beautiful National Trust site. Excellent walks with stunning views. Dyrham Park house is just stunning with beautiful gardens, church, and ponds. You have video history, tea rooms, and a mobility bus for the elderly and disabled. Really helpful, informative staff. We would highly recommend.”
“Newark Park is a real hidden gem! We had such a wonderful time exploring both the house and its stunning grounds. The historic house itself is fascinating, and the volunteers inside were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, sharing all sorts of interesting stories about its rich past. It felt like stepping back in time while still being warmly welcomed. The outdoor spaces are just as impressive – beautiful gardens, open lawns, wooded walks, and plenty of spots to simply sit and enjoy the scenery. We were delighted to see peacocks gracefully wandering around, adding an extra touch of charm to the day. For families or anyone looking for some active fun, the summer activities were fantastic. We loved seeing games like outdoor chess, croquet, badminton, skipping, and more set up on the lawns. It really gave the visit a playful, relaxed atmosphere. The mix of history, nature, and hands-on fun makes Newark Park perfect for all ages. Whether you want a peaceful walk, a bit of history, or a family day outdoors, it has it all. We left feeling happy, relaxed, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!”
“Just here for a week or so and managed to catch them in the park. Lovely people and great coffee. Bikkies for your doggie too! Support them when you can as it's great local business.”
“All Farm fresh food are available here”
“I have used these several times over the last couple of months.Brilliant service from the moment you go into the yard. The yard staff always say hello and enquire what you are after. The office staff are always very helpful and polite and the delivery driver Simon was great and nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely use them again. Well done chaps .”
“What a lovely cafe. Although they have an outdoor seating area, the inside is absolutely gorgeous: surrounded by plants and good quality gifts, it feels a little like sitting in an orangery. We had a block booking. The staff worked really hard to cater for us all (including alot of vegetarians) and the service was great. Dogs are welcome, water provided and there's even a jar of dog biscuits available to buy individually. As for the humans, the food was really nice, the tea, hot and plentiful. Definitely going back.”
“Charlotte has all the alpaca facts you might not even have considered before! Lovely animals - get very excited for snacks!”
