“I came all the way from Manchester for my hair transplant with Dr. Ted Miln and needed a place to stay nearby. I was tired from the journey, so this place was absolutely perfect. The clinic recommended it, and it turned out to be one of the best places I’ve stayed in. Getting in and out was super simple and convenient with the passcode they sent. I was gutted to miss out on the restaurant since it was closed on Monday and Tuesday, but I’ll definitely try to dine in next time I visit when it’s open. The room had everything I needed — very comfortable, with great showers, and I really loved the interior. It was exactly what I needed to rest and recover after the procedure. The location is ideal too: just a 5-minute walk to the Co-op and a 5-minute drive to the clinic. I could see my car from my room, and the place felt safe and secure. Overall, one of the best places I’ve stayed in. Highly recommend!”

“A really proper barbershop, caters for younger but also trendy and older patrons offering many different styles. Reasonable pricing and discount for OAP's Loyalty discount scheme also available. A friendly atmosphere. Can only recommend at the highest level. Very skilled bunch. I would recomend a visit to try out. You will be not disappointed.”

“this was a lovely place to stay in barry island. it’s in a convenient location right next to the train station and not far from the beach. the rooms were lovely and clean and accommodating with a tv with ITVX so we could tuck in and watch love island without any ads, which ended our night perfectly. the beds were super comfy it felt like i was sleeping on a cloud. the next morning we were greeted by Lyndon who made an excellent breakfast (all included in the price) and was very welcoming throughout our stay. we would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting barry island due to its convenient location and the b&b’s amazing hospitality. we will be sure to stay here again if we’re ever in barry island.”

“I came here years ago, and recently heard that it's still good, so, when I was unable to eat at a nearby restaurant, I decided to check Raj Kinara out again. I'm so glad that the other restaurant has stopped serving food! My wife and I knew that this place was special the moment we walked in. The fountain in the centre and the decor were really beautiful, and a glimpse at the great experience that was to come. The complementary poppadoms and chutneys to start were very welcome. The tandoori mixed platter was large and tasted so good. The rice sides tasted great as well, but unfortunately we accidentally ordered more than we could eat (post-gym hunger convinced our brains that our stomachs were bigger than they actually are) so we did not manage to eat as much as we wanted. Fortunately, the excellent staff came to the rescue! One of the waiters suggested how many bags and containers we would need to pack up our food, so we were able to take our plentiful leftovers home. I can't wait till tomorrow to finish off what we started this evening! We're definitely coming back. The price is well worth the quantity and taste of the food and the excellent service you receive. Edit: I just came back a second time and the poppadoms are definitely not complementary. The food was still good, and I will be coming back again.”

“I had a wonderful lunch with my 2 sons at the Cwm Talwg today. I hadn’t booked a table but staff thankfully found a table for us. Lots of choice on the menu so was hard to decide !! From entering to leaving the staff were attentive and super friendly. Our orders taken promptly and food served after a short wait, staff checked twice that our meals were ok. We had no complaints !! They were delicious. I don’t think the Cwm Talwg gets the recognition it deserves which is a shame as the food was lovely. We will definitely be back. I’d recommend trying this place”

“There’s nothing that gets the heart racing on this industrial estate quite like the sacred beep beep of Denise’s delivery food van. It’s our Pavlovian bell, summoning us from forklifts and spreadsheets alike. But it’s not just any beep. It’s the glorious trumpet that heralds the arrival of Steve, the man, the myth, the wrap wrangling legend. Steve doesn’t just bring food, he brings hope. An excellent selection of hot food and snacks that somehow taste even better when consumed while leaning against a skip in hi-vis. Whether it’s a bacon bap that could raise the dead or a hot wrap that hits the spot... Denise’s van is the spiritual centre of this estate. God bless the beep. God bless Steve. “We had lunch here today. Chicken and mayo baguette with salad, and ham and cheese baguette with salad, plus 2 hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows. Really nice food, good portions and excellent value for money. It's a cash only cafe so I had to dash to a local cashpoint.”
