“In Coventry for a training course staying at the Holiday Inn. This restaurant was only 2 miles away. Great service, good menu and the food was fantastic. If I am ever in the area again would definitely go back.”

“It was quiz night so the pub was busy, however not so busy that we could not enjoy our meal. A good friendly atmosphere. We’re were served by Mary, who was friendly and very helpful. She answered our questions about the food and helped us navigate the app … we ordered from our table. The food was good, standard pub meal, but was hot and tasty. Would definitely go here again for a mid week meal.”

“We attend weekly when we can & always have an amazing time, particularly impressed with security keeping an eye open making it a safe place .. ie no dancing with glasses in hand etc Toilets always clean. Bands booked are always a great variety & bar prices very reasonable! Staff always been very courteous & friendly”

“Came here for a roast dinner and it was lovely. The roasties and Yorkshire puds were excellent. There was fast service and lovely staff. Manager was so friendly and waiters were so lovely. Drinks were very good. I can’t stress enough how lovely this pub is and how massive the garden it’s such a sun trap. Best pub I’ve seen in a long time. Definitely would recommend and I will be bringing the family here.”

“We came here for the first time having come for a walk and we were really hungry! We used the lift to get upstairs which was quite honestly terrifying, only to find out you can enter via the slope at the top The ladies were so nice and made sure we had a good table with our buggy. Way more choice then we thought I had a jacket potato with cheese and tuna My husband a burger, food was nice, burger quite expensive but it did look good when it came and the chips, salad and onion rings were yummy Service was brilliant very quick and friendly There is lots of adverts for organised events and walks etc.”

“Despite growing up in the area this was my first "proper" time at The George and, have to say, first impressions were very good. Light, bright decor inside with plenty of seating options, including a dedicated dining area for meals and a spacious beer garden. Good atmosphere inside, with relaxing selection of background music that wasn't so loud as to be intrusive. Service was brilliant throughout, from the bright, friendly greeting on our arrival to the attentive staff looking after us during meal. Food allergy advised at time of booking was reiterated by the staff when taking our orders, which was reassuring. And, on the subject of the meal, the food was excellent - good portion sizes, very tasty and reasonably priced too. Everyone in our group was very happy with what they had. Would definitely recommend and, although we don't really get out much, we'll definitely be back.”

“Great pub located close to the canal, really friendly owner, allowed us to wash our clothes in the washing machine for a fair price. The food was great pub food, came out quickly, well priced. The drinks are priced well also. If you're coming through on a canal boat there is a mooring nearby so you can stop and eat/drink. They also have facilities for people in motorhomes to park up and stay for the night, really accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend if you're in the area.”

“Amazing food. Chef came out and greeted us, explained everything we wanted to know, very confident about his menu and passionate about the food. The manager at the front was an amazing character, best customer service we've experienced anywhere, made us feel very comfortable, feel like we've known him for a lifetime. Exceptional experience!”

“Ordered the Crispy Shredded Beef and it was absolutely spot on. Perfectly crispy, full of flavour and not greasy at all — exactly how it should be. The sauce was rich and balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness and a little kick. Portion size was generous and everything arrived hot and fresh. One of the best Chinese takeaways in Rugby. Will definitely order again!”

Delicious Bangladeshi food, nothing standard here all homemade and delicious, an owner who really cares and entertains through your meal, i can't recommend this place enough, we will be back when next in the area!”

“Loved the variety of dough balls especially the loaded pesto dough balls. Other items we loved were- lemon and herb chicken wings, veg Giardiniera with Jalapeno peppers. I would advise to book a table in advance during weekends and use the app to have discounts or free slides. They accept cash, card or pay by the app.”

“Quality fresh food my usual is some times chicken doner in nan with salad or chips and a drink delicious, the chicken doner is too much for one person. So I have to order another nan or eat it with the fork believe it or not it fills you up.”

“Went in on a Saturday afternoon, not too many people in but they had football on the tv and the bar staff was friendly so we ordered an all day breakfast 1 classic and 1 large. The food looked fantastic and was hot and well cooked with plenty on the plate ( compliments to the chef ). We will definitely be coming back here to eat again.
