My partner and I had our 3-year-old with us, and the staff were absolutely amazing with her—so friendly, patient, and genuinely welcoming. “We hired the restaurant in the Houston Inn for a retirement party last Friday. The service was exceptional. Connor was on duty when we arrived and could not have been more warm and helpful. He helped us arrange decorations, deck the bunting and lettering he was so friendly and welcoming. The chef came out to greet us and chat to us about the buffet we had ordered, again, very accommodating, couldn’t have done more to ensure that our night went smoothly. The sun shone, the food was delicious, service was lovely. Well done Houston Inn for creating a really great night- not many of our guests were local but all vowed to come back after such a great night!”

“All of the team at the Lynnhurst and our wedding planner Kerry-Ann were absolutely fantastic and made our day so special by going over and above in all aspects from planning, arranging and particular for the ceremony set up we asked for out of their normal arrangement to the service and support on the day. Kerry-Ann even helped cut personal made bouquets to help us in the morning and was a supporting shoulder for worries on the day. They were all very welcoming and friendly and made us feel so comfortable and at ease. We couldn’t have picked a better venue! The venue itself was also very well maintained and beautiful in the wedding area. If we had to do it again we’d choose the Lynnhurst again!”

“Me and my partner came here for the first time for something to eat and somewhere to wait for our car to be ready to picked up from the garage. Atmosphere was great, got a soup and sandwich deal. Was lovely. Prices are good, Lee was very friendly and accommodating. Made me glad we chose this place to spend time while waiting. Highly recommend !. Will definitely be back!.”

“A brilliant steak place that is completely under rated. Never heard of it before so when I went and tried it, I wasn’t expecting too much. It was so good! The chateaubriand had a delicious beefy flavour. The vibes inside are still casual so you don’t feel like you need to get all dressed up like nearly every other steak spot. The bon bons were a firm fave for the starter. I didn’t think the mac & cheese, or the garlic mushrooms were worth £6 each so I would steer clear of these as sides! The sticky toffee pudding sundae was out of this world… two delicious desserts combined!”
