“Came upon this wee gem while looking for a dog friendly cafe. Couldn't have been made to feel more welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our mini breakfast, coffee and tray bake. Many families there. Hope to return at some point when we have time to see the birds too.”

“Had a lovely 3 night stay here last weekend with my 2 teenage girls. It's about a 5 kin rant ride from Cumbernauld train station. Not quite above but sort of above and to the side of a nice little pub. Didn't disturb us at all during the night. Lots of little food places and a spar and pharmacy doors away. In the cutest little village. Firstly the rooms where immaculate. Everything g was spotless. Bed where so so comfy. Plenty of places to put all our things. Didn't hear any other guests even tho I know the rooms where occupied so don't worry about noise. Went down to the pub bit in the morning. Had breakfast and coffee while we waited to go home. I didn't eat myself but my girls said the food was lovely. The girl behind the bar was absolutely lovely. So helpful and smiley which is always nice to see. Met the owner in there. Jacqueline. She was lovely too. So helpful and couldn't do more for us the entire stay to be honest. Will 100% stay here when I'm next in Scotland. Wouldn't even bother looking anywhere else now actually. “First time in this bar, was welcomed with a friendly lady behind the bar ( Sharon). Has a lovely cosy feel about the place. Great selection of drinks behind the bar. Especially whiskey. Prices are cheaper than the other bar up the road. Even the locals welcomed us. Would definitely recommend .”

“Had satay chicken skewers, with fried rice and instead of the normal satay sauce, opted for curry sauce, the meal was first class, I was a bit intrepid about ordering from the restaurant again, as in the past food wasn’t great, so I was truly surprised at the quality of the food,and very quick delivery, will definitely be ordering again in the near future.to all staff Thankyou for a lovely meal”

“Come here for breakfast every time we go on holiday in Scotland. Just a couple of minutes of the motorway. Located inside the shopping centre, is much better than what you would normally expect. Friendly and helpful staff, good food, clean and bright. Reasonably priced. The standards are as good year to year.”

“Had another great Tuesday afternoon in The Smiddy, entertainment was great, Elvis tribute was excellent, what a shift this guy puts in and super friendly. We all had food after the show, soup was delicious as was our mains. Staff very helpful and pleasant. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you to Julia, Gayle and bar staff, really working so hard to make the Smiddy a great friendly place to visit.”

“A good takeaway it's a must try if u like to try something different. Food wasn't greasy the shop looked spotless clean. I would recommend you try the curry, it's different from most takeaway shops it's not your usual curry sauce which looks bland and tastes, this 1 has a red colour and tastes a lot better a little sweet and spicy nice combination.”

“We loved this hotel, stayed for one night as a wee childfree night away. We were warmly welcomed and our room was so light, clean and spacious, with a mini bar and coffee machine (we had upgraded to a superior, v worth it). The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. We visited the spa twice, both times not too busy, really clean and we had a lovely time. We ate out at night but breakfast in the morning was buffet with other menu choices, some with a charge. The buffet had plenty of choice and was all good. We'd highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.”
