“I had a fantastic experience working with Tharan at Southside Performance Studio. I signed up for a standalone Voice Acting course (something I had little to no prior experience in), and the environment was so welcoming. Tharan is a thoughtful and encouraging teacher, and I came away having learned a great deal. I’m now excited to look into taking more courses here!”
“My 13 year old has been attended ACT Scotland for around a year and a half. He attends Musical Theatre and Advanced Academy and he loves both. He has been given some amazing performance opportunities and made friends for life. Highly recommend”
“Lovely theatre. The Alman Theatre Group always put on a good show.”
“My Daughter has been attending MTDA for around 8 years and absolutely loves it. The school is a friendly, inclusive, and encouraging environment with lots of different classes including Dance, Drama and Singing. She loves working with the different class teachers and enjoys performing on stage in the twice yearly shows. Shona and team have created an excellent school to nurture the talent and confidence of all the children who take part.”
“Watched the Bugsy Malone production on Saturday night, the kids were great and all the parents should be very proud.”
“Came along to the Jaws showing, was first time at the venue and hope it won't be the last. Staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. The set up for the "cinema" was brilliant with lots of wee extra bits and bobs to make the room feel special”
“I needed to cancel my registration for a Short Course at the Conservatory and the Administrative Staff went above and beyond in helping me. They showed acts of goodwill and ensured I was satisfied with a resolution to my problem. Excellent, student - centered service!”
“Very Friendly staff . Affordable snacks and very spacious halls.”
“Cal has a great energy and is a very good teacher. Helped me gained confidence back in acting and I have learned good skills for the future, I definitely recommend this course! Up to the next course! Juliette”
“Starlight is an amazing place for children all ages to learn how to perform, if your child is into theatre I recommend for them to go to starlight. It is overall a wonderful place”
“Fantastic dance school for pupils of all ages. I was a dancer at Elma Whyte Performing Arts for 20 years now and had the best experience learning ballet, tap, modern and jazz. The teachers are amazing so friendly, welcoming and dedicated to getting the best out of every pupil. With dancers going on to big things the pupils have role models to aspire to. Having exams each year has allowed me to develop as a dancer but also to gain necessary life skills. Not to mention the end of year Dance Date show, with never ending glitter, sequins and fun it is a fantastic event and showcase of the pupils hard work. I couldn't recommend a better dance school to learn from the best and make life long friends.”
“For an act that only got together 6 months ago, they were fantastic! Sing a song a tribute to the Carpenters, were stunning. A full house were thoroughly entertained with classic songs of the period by quality musicians. Thank you so much for your talented performance. ❤️”
“SYT is amazing the staff are wonderfull so helpful the classes are so fun you don't feel judged always feel welcome”
“Just seen Plaza suite and really enjoyed it. I found it funnier than the film. I will definitely be back”
“Absolutely incredible and unique experience. Probably best enjoyed by adults though not children and not for you if you're easily creeped out I guess. Honestly, if you do your research and understand the type of place this is and are still interested you will probably enjoy it, though art is always subjective at the end of the day. My partner and I loved it. The performance is captivating and does a great job of drawing your attention to certain sections of each piece as it plays (with the ability to look in more detail at the end) and bringing out emotions from the Soviet era. The pieces themselves are quite intricate and regardless of whether the style of the art is to your taste, I feel like the overall performance including the movement, lighting and music let's you see into the soul of the artist which in my opinion is interesting regardless of what I think about each piece personally and speaks on several levels unlike, say paintings (though those have their own appeal in a different way of course). The information about the artist and small plaques next to each piece are interesting additional info but very non intrusive so it's your choice to read it or form your own ideas. Got a bit rambly there but long story short, give it a shot if you're creatively inclined, like mechanical models or are looking for something a bit different.”
“We were there to see The Steamie, and the staff were so helpful and cheery. Seating was comfortable and easy to access. The bar prices were reasonable. The show was fantastic.”
“Went to the Friday show. Had a great time. I love the new place is even better than the old one!”
“Fantastic production with real enthusiasm and energy with the children.”
“Have stayed twice in the past 6 months. Staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful. Cleanliness is to a high standard. The location is perfect for access to a bustling street Great Western Road and also Kelvinbridge Station. However within the hotel there is no traffic noise at all.”
“My son has just completed 5 years at GAMTA, 2 in junior school and 3 as a full time student, graduating this week and also securing his first professional job within his chosen profession. The staff are great and the students work really hard but develop and become industry ready.”
