“I've been here once, and Wishaw General twice, for myself and an elderly relative. The experience is night and day. Wishaw General is another Stafford Hospital scandal waiting to happen again. If you're in an accident, I don't fancy your chances if taken there. The staff at Monklands, by comparison, are professional and competent. To any politician reading this: there are some hospitals that need shut down, and the staff barred from ever working in medicine again. Monklands is not one of them. Guess which hospital's staff is? Go and read Wishaw General's comments compared to the ones here, and act accordingly.”

Caitlin at reception was a star: courteous, kind, and gave us a welcome drink when checking-in; also shout out to her supervisor, who helped us out the entire stay! The beds are comfortable, room was clean, and every need had been met. Would recommend for anyone wanting to visit the beautiful Glasgow, as it is super close to the main attractions all by foot. Hairmyres staff are kind and caring and make you feel welcome and cared for. Minor injuries unit are also fast at getting you seen even when busy”
