“I stayed here for one night. Was able to change my check in time with no difficulty at all. When I arrived I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and given keys to my room... there is someone on the front desk 24 hrs a day, this was very good for me especially as I needed to check out at 4am. Checking out was very simple, I just had to give keys back to desk. The room was very clean and had all the necessities, at the price of the rooms I was extremely happy with my stay and will be staying here again in the future!!”

“We were looking for a hotel/B& B in the west end as we were attending a concert at the Hydro and we found found this little gem. The service we received was 2nd to none with all the staff we encountered friendly and helpful. The décor in the place is very interesting with a dark but warm feel. The place is full of interesting objects that fit in really well with the style of the building. The room we had was spacious with great view out over Glasgow. The breakfast was continental style with plenty on offer from pastries, fresh fruits salads, cold meats and cheese amongst countless other things. The coffee was good too. All in I would really recommend the Alfred as a quirky, friendly place to stay.”

“Dear sir/madam, I just want to state that I have been living in Scotland for the past few years and to no avail I have not been granted for a right to stay in this country. I am unable to go back to my own country mainly because i have been faced with violence which deters me going back and have no choice but to come into Scotland as I fear my life would be in danger if I were to be deported back. I have no means of money as I am not allowed to work in this country without any permission. Please I plead with you to let me have the right to stay in this country and to be given the right to work. I am unable to support myself any longer with no job which means no money. I do not want to be seen as an illegal immigrant and so I plead with you to have some compassion on myself. Regards Chen”

“I am convinced to recommend staying here and there are several reasons; 1. Price is extremely reasonable. 2. They serve quite economic breakfast; there are two options: Scottish and continental breakfast. 3. Room and shared toilets and bathrooms/shower rooms are clean and well-managed and the numbers of shared shower rooms are enough. 4. Accessibility to Glasgow city centre is convenient; I could use the subway for reaching the centre. 5. The owner and staff are pretty accommodating and this is very Scottish. 5. You definitely will realise that you more love Scotland than England while staying here. Not crowded people are here, and the ambience was very tranquil unlike London and other England cities. I nowdays hate England, so I recommend to visit this hotel and hopefully relish Scotland traveling.”

“Fantastic Drama school. My daughter Ava has been going for a number of years and really looks forward to the classes. Marina and the staff make it a fun environment. The summer and Christmas shows are excellent and have been a massive confidence boost for Ava. This has also helped her with her school as she looks for opportunities to get up and perform in school rather than shy away. Highly recommend.”

    Ideal Schools

“From the very first phone call before enrolling on the course, to the current conversations, emails and support during my studies, Ideal Schools have been Helpful, supportive and extremely knowledgeable. UnLike so many other training providers I spoke to, they weren't in the business of sales patter and getting you to sign up for as many courses as they could! Idea schools provided sound advise on a study path which matched my career goals. I found their prices to be better structured and I even managed to pick up a deal on the courses I wanted. Making a great saving compared to other training providers. My fear then was "would I be getting as much from the them as the more expensive providers?" The answer was more! Reading on some ICB and bookkeeping forums, other students don't seem to get the same support and understanding, especially when preparing for exams. When I hear others failing at certain exam stages but Ideal schools students are excelling in these same exam areas! For me that tells the story. They have been only a phone call or email away on tough topics or just days where I needed a little extra support and someone to talk things through with. With home learning, it can feel like a lonely experience and isolating. But not with Ideal schools ! Their Facebook groups provide support and connections with fellow students and those who have gone on to practise. This helps with celebrating exam success and also getting a boost to carry on when you are struggling. A great group of people and a wonderfully inclusive support network. Including search tasks and important industry info, these pages have it all! Thanks to Brian and his brilliant team I look forward to a long and prosperous career in bookkeeping.”
