Heading back into the shop they didn't seem to have my size. I always feel uncomfortable asking for assistance but I plucked up the courage to ask if they had it in a medium in the stock room. Without fuss, she checked the stock and said they were supposed to have one somewhere? Together we worked out it was probably the one in the window. Sure enough it was!
