“We considered GSAL for our child after feeling let down by our local schools so went to the open day and was very impressed by the pupils and the staff. Our child loved it and that was it. We have been so impressed by their approach to education - not just academically but socially and culturally. Academically, children are challenged and extended to learn more deeply and think differently and teachers support and encourage this. Socially, there is a broad mix of backgrounds and as diverse as you could imagine. Culturally, pupils stand out for a number of reasons; they are polite, they are helpful and they want to learn. Having been in some state schools, that makes the school pretty special, if not unique. Respect for teachers, and each other is part of the fabric, which again these days, can be rare. And unlike some independent schools, entry is based on academic ability, not income. This means standards are kept high, which extends to their bursary scheme which is aimed at giving bright children from ordinary backgrounds the chance to be part of the school. I was at the Parent's evening recently and was struck by the level of insight I received from the teachers; it wasn't casual but constructive, thoughtful and encouraging. It reinforced the pastoral support the school gives, which considerate, caring and freely given when your child needs it, and it's those values which make a difference.”

“Location of the hostel is good , walking distance to the city centre, 14 min walk to the Triniti shopping centre. Hostel is in quiet neighbourhood, 5 min away from supermarkets and Fast food , restaurants. What I like the most in this hostel is very polite receptionists , and peace and quiet . Even is hostel full , still people respect other people, no noise at all .Even we have a room next to the common area, there is no noise. Kitchen was clean, toilets as well. Breakfast is free, toast bread, lots of jam, honey, chocolate cream, cereals, tea coffee and milk. And they restock all the time.I recommended this hostel and I will back again.”

“Absolutely wonderful sensory class, set up with a focus on baby development followed by free play with a wide variety of toys for your little one to play with while you get chance to socialise with other parents. Each week there’s a different backdrop so you can grab some wonderful photos of your baby as they grow. Both my little one and I thoroughly enjoyed Maisie’s classes throughout the entirety of my maternity leave - sad that I have to go back to work”

Our games master was Charlotte and she was really enthusiastic and gave subtle hints when we were stuck, absolutely fantastic! The entire adventure was brilliantly executed, featuring an impressive array of puzzles that kept our family of four engaged from start to finish. The rooms were thematically spot-on, capturing the essence of the films. It was the perfect blend of challenge and fun, making it an ideal choice for a family outing. “Me and my wife Margaret had a fantastic Full Day Experience yesterday at SMJ Falconry. To be up close and to be able to fly such magnificent birds of prey is a truly amazing experience We both thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The staff are great and a special thank you to Stephen and Will, the bird handlers for their expert guidance and their knowledge of all the birds. I recommend this to anyone who wants to experience a day they. will always remember”

“Stayed the night in Hebden and went here for breakfast. Had bacons sarnies, coffee and cannoli. Bacon was lovely quality, coffee was good (I'm a self-confessed coffee snob!) and the cannolis were amazing! (Not traditional Italian cannolis. The only way I can describe them is kind of mixed between a traditional cannoli and a caramelised peanut brittle). Staff seemed friendly and reasonably priced.”

“Visited via attending a birthday party for a 3 year old It was presented well, clearly time taken to make sure that the birthday girl had her name in lights Safety features magnetised gate, high counters out of reach for enquiring hands It was good to have a private party. Food was appropriate and just as requested The play area was just ours to explore, the children loved it. The staff were fabulous, making sure children enjoyed themselves, making sure that food was ready on time, cake cutting was prepared ensuring that all present has a good time.”

“What a fantastic place for children who love Lego. We visited today and attended the Wizarding Event. Arrived at 10am and it finished at 3:30pm we had a whole day of Lego fun and bath bomb making! I was a bit dubious when we arrived at the location but be deceived when it’s a Lego builders dream inside! The time and effort they put into interacting with the children was fantastic! We will definitely be back. Thanks again!”

“Both my son and currently my daughter have enjoyed being part of the Little Gym. The instructors are fabulous and have brought their gymnastic skills on fabulously though fun and imaginative games. Great for burning off lots of energy after school and my daughter loves the holiday clubs which have lots of varied activities including crafts. My little girl's birthday party was also hosted at the Little Gym and she and her friends had an amazing time.”

“Roundhay Park is absolutely brilliant – one of the best city parks I’ve ever visited. It’s massive, beautifully maintained, and has something for everyone. The lakes, woodlands, and wide open green spaces make it perfect for walks, picnics, or just relaxing outdoors. We spent a good few hours wandering around and still didn’t see it all. The walk around Waterloo Lake was especially lovely, with ducks and swans, and loads of scenic spots to stop and take in the view. The Tropical World nearby is also well worth a visit if you’ve got kids or just fancy something a bit different. Great facilities too – plenty of parking, clean toilets, and cafes dotted around for a coffee or snack. Whether you’re local or just visiting Leeds, Roundhay Park is a must-see. A proper breath of fresh air right on the city’s doorstep.”

“2mile narrow lane to get there. Didn't stay ,it's nestled in a small cove shot walk to RHB via up over the path through the woods or when tides out around the headland lovely cove,amenities are there toilets, meals etc well worth the steep walk down from the (free) carpark. ....go again”
