“My local Toolstation is great. I order online so I know they have what I want in stock, and they are so quick at getting stuff ready to collect which is ideal for early starters like myself. The products are fit for purpose most of the time and fairly priced.. returns are easy and processed quickly unlike the nearby competitors who can take a week or two. The staff are happy to help and it’s nice to be greeted by your name ( thanks Sheena) and to be made welcome.”

“Thank goodness we came across DKD! From the initial contact with Gareth to discuss ideas for our new kitchen, followed by the planning stage and finally selecting units/work surfaces etc, we were supported every step of the way by Gareth and Kate. After been let down by several builders to do the internal structural work we needed to create the new kitchen space, DKD came to our rescue by arranging for the work to be undertaken by their builder (Dexter), who did a great job of knocking two rooms into one, all at a reasonable cost. The original timescales we were given for completing the building work and kitchen installation did not slip and we had a fabulous new kitchen fitted by Lee in time for Christmas (2024). In March this year, we went back to DKD to fit out our utility room, which, like our kitchen has been done to an extremely high standard of workmanship. The process from start to end as well as the after sales service has been exemplary and we are delighted with the end result of both our kitchen and utility room. Many thanks to you all at DKD for a great job.”

“I received the most superb, helpful and friendly service yesterday from Sue in the garden section when buying 2 plant containers. She produced a measure so I could check the container measurements (as I had left mine at home by mistake), actively helped me select the right ones within the price range I was looking for, was very knowledgeable and even took the containers I'd chosen to the checkout for me (I have arthritis) and then loaded them in to the boot of my car. Wonderful service...and the store also had a really good selection of plant containers in stock at a sensible range of prices. A full 5-star experience, thank you.”

“I bought a range of appliances via the Harrogate store and the service, advice and support from everyone at Crampton and Moore was absolutely excellent throughout - from the staff in store to the delivery team, nothing was too much trouble. The town centre location was a big plus for me as well, just a short walk away rather than having to drive to an out of town store. Also, the prices were superb. I can 100% recommend them and will definitely use them again.”

“We ideally wanted to find a family run appliance shop so if there were any issues it would be considerably easier to speak to someone to help rectify. With this we went to Herbert and Todd in Harrogate, where we were greeted by Dave. Dave was so helpful and honest. He didn’t push any specific brands, he went through every option and knew all the answers to any questions we had. Dave was also very understanding of our 2 year old child who has little patience and was running around.. basically being a 2 year old.. which also made us feel at ease and not in a rush to leave the shop. Because of Dave alone, we chose to buy the majority of our new appliances from Herbert Todd and trust his honest recommendations. We did in fact visit the York store to simply view a quooker tap. Although the reception was pleasant, the knowledge or understanding wasn’t on par with Dave at Harrogate. Since then we have had our appliances delivered and have actually had an issue, which is the manufacturers fault, I emailed Dave my concern and he responded in the same day and was straight onto it for me, it still isn’t rectified as of yet however Dave has kept me informed during the whole process. Regardless of the outcome, I will use Herbert and Todd everytime at Harrogate with Dave or Colin… spoken to Colin a few times, also super friendly and helpful!! It’s difficult to find service like this anymore, we are so happy we decided to visit, thank you Dave!”

First via their video link on line which was great as we’re in Chesterfield which is quite far away & then in store. They spent so much time with us, nothing is too much trouble, they are so patient & helped us make choices we were really pleased with.
