“We travel to Burn Bridge Preschool from central Harrogate as it only takes 10 minutes, and its worth the short trip as it is a lovely place to send your children. Staff are very friendly and helpful and my son is always excited to go there.”

Film-making, singing with G4 in Ripon Cathedral, and performing in the West End of London, really sets PQA above and beyond other drama schools.”

“I moved to the YAFTA classes in Harrogate when the academy expanded there because Harrogate is a shorter distance to travel from home. I originally I won a competition for YAFTA classes in Leeds through CastingCallPro but continued attending after that because I love the classes and felt I was really improving as an actor by training each week. They're also not too expensive which being self-employed factored into the decision! Happily the tutor from the Leeds classes; David Zezulka, also teaches in Harrogate and although this was a mixed ability group due to the classes just starting in Harrogate when I joined, he took the time to make sure I was still being challenged, being an experienced, working actress. I really appreciate him going to the extra effort of devising additional activities for me. It's a real credit to YAFTA to have tutors who care so much and are willing to go the extra mile to push their students to the the next level. I haven't been able to attend classes as much as I would like this year but this is due to being so busy working as an actress with three feature films and a stage play, so I definitely feel like my training with YAFTA is paying off! I can't wait to get back to classes in the New Year and look forward to acting with old friends and lots of new faces!”

“Baby sensory Harrogate is absolutely the best baby class that my daughter has attended. (We tried a lot of baby classes) Natalie and Niki are amazing at what they do. Their enthusiasm and the love of what they do comes across in every class. The classes are so well thought out and they do not just repeat the same class each week. They put so much thought into the themes. You end up with lovely photos with the different themes and so many memories. I am gutted to have gone back to work and that our weekly sessions with baby sensory have ended. It’s been the best way to spend my maternity leave and now thanks to baby sensory I have a baby who is extremely sociable and outgoing and a lot of that is down to this class. It’s without a doubt the best baby class and I know my daughter will miss seeing niki and Natalie each week and will really miss this class as shes absolutely loved baby sensory. “We considered GSAL for our child after feeling let down by our local schools so went to the open day and was very impressed by the pupils and the staff. Our child loved it and that was it. We have been so impressed by their approach to education - not just academically but socially and culturally. Academically, children are challenged and extended to learn more deeply and think differently and teachers support and encourage this. Socially, there is a broad mix of backgrounds and as diverse as you could imagine. Culturally, pupils stand out for a number of reasons; they are polite, they are helpful and they want to learn. Having been in some state schools, that makes the school pretty special, if not unique. Respect for teachers, and each other is part of the fabric, which again these days, can be rare. And unlike some independent schools, entry is based on academic ability, not income. This means standards are kept high, which extends to their bursary scheme which is aimed at giving bright children from ordinary backgrounds the chance to be part of the school. I was at the Parent's evening recently and was struck by the level of insight I received from the teachers; it wasn't casual but constructive, thoughtful and encouraging. It reinforced the pastoral support the school gives, which considerate, caring and freely given when your child needs it, and it's those values which make a difference.”

“My daughter attends Music Lab in Moortown and has been having piano lessons for a few years. She really enjoys the sessions and has performed at their showcases which are very impressive. My daughters teacher Sophia has just left and I wanted to publicly sing her praises as my daughter really enjoyed her classes with her and she will miss her. She says Sophia made learning fun and was patient and kind.”
