“Visited the café for lunch while looking around the gallery, and it was so good we returned for breakfast a few days later. Food was absolutely delicious - high quality, flavoursome ingredients and service with a smile.”

“Met friends for lunch. Only a small place but very clean and welcoming. Car park not huge and shares premises with another business. . We were asked about our dietary requirements and food was lovely and very favourably priced. There are also items to purchase like cards, balloons and small gifts”

“Love this sandwich shop! The staff are always so friendly and the shop is done out really nice and it's so clean. The choice is unreal! The lady who owns the shop apparently does all the cakes herself too! They do the best millionaire shortbread and flapjacks i've ever had! I'm really fussy when it comes to meat and also the quality of food in general and I'm never disappointed here. Beautiful freshly baked bread and the best meat at sausages! Lovely big portions as well. And although i'm not a pork pie lover I hear they are the best around for miles! I strongly recommend stopping by if you are ever passing.”

“Went in for a breakfast with my 6 year old daughter and wife . The value was good and the produce was quality. Will defo be going again. The manager looked after us really well and nothing was too much trouble.”

“What an absolute gem of a find! I had a full English breakfast and it was fresh and it was tasty! I met 2 friends here, and that was perfect, there is one large dinner table, dressed like it was the one at your parents house in the 90's. There is also some window seating and some benches outside when the weather is slightly more agreeable. Clearly a popular destination as there were plenty of 'yokshur' folk coming in for bacon butties and B.E.S.T. A running theme being people in High Viz and rigger boots ready for the days graft. Parking wise there are a couple of spaces out front, as well as on street parking. Proper salt of the earth place, would recommend!”

“Saved my life during the birth of my child at the hospital next door with a 4 day induction of labour. Excellent sandwich. I don't know if it was sleep deprivation or what but the brown sauce will always live in my memory (I reckon it was just daddies).”

“What a lovely independent coffee shop. Lovely friendly staff, who were so cheerful and warm. Coffee was excellent. Cheese and Ham Toastie was superb, generous with the ingredients. Cakes looked amazing. The place was really busy, while the chain coffee shop next door was empty! Spotless toilets! Outside seating too. Right next to the Cathedral.”

I was horrified when the Springs location closed, but was relieved to see they'd just relocated. Anyway, great breakfasts and very friendly! Amazing service over the phone, made sure everything was correct. Collected the food, lovely and warm. Tasted great! My brother wasnt sure he would like it but loved it. Will be back!”

“Cash only! Friendly and welcoming Chinese takeaway. Food is nice, didn’t have to wait long even though I didn’t call in advance. Very clean and tidy inside, the plants are well cared for which I always like to see being somewhat of a houseplant addict. I got special fried rice and some spring rolls as was alone. Was really nice. Would recommend.”

“My first time in Wakefield and my first time at this pub. It was a Saturday night and the band was great. Really enjoyed talking to some of the locals, a very friendly place. The outside area is also great and is covered and I believe there is also music on out there weekly. Thanks for a great night ❤️”

“Great little Chinese takeaway. Nearly all takeaways in the SESKU area and surrounding get 0,1 or 2 hygiene rating stars, I believe this one gets 5. They don't deliver but you can order to collect. You can also call ahead, such as at 5pm and arrange to collect later, such as 7pm. Food is very good.”

“I can only apologise for the delay in writing this review. My partner and I visited a couple of months ago when staying locally. We loved it so much on the first night that we went back the next day. We have since been a few weeks ago when we were in Huddersfield. They have a Thai Chef and an open kitchen. Their front of house staff are awesome, especially Tom who I believe owns the place. The last time my partner and I went, they had not quite opened for the evening but as Tom saw us passing, he came out and gave us an incredibly warm welcome and even the Chef remembered us! It felt like we were visiting old friends. I went to Thailand last year and can tell you the food from here just does not get more authentic. So much so that the first time I dined there, I had tears in my eyes as the amazing flavours, sights and smells took me right back to Thailand. It is located on an industrial estate but please do not let that put you off as if you are anywhere in Horbury and follow your nose, it will take you straight to this humble place. My partner lives in Liverpool and I live in Manchester. Both of us will travel to go there for a meal without hesitation. It really upsets me to see the negative reviews and they are undeserved. Yes, we all have bad days but never have I come across such an amazing place like this. It is a take away but you can dine in its wonderful surroundings and enjoy the atmosphere. We will be returning time and time again. A huge thank you to everyone who works there. Keep up the good work.”

“I've been using Eat88 for some time now. Very impressed with service, cost, flavour etc. only problem is the size of the portions ..... they are so big. I don't think they could get any more in the container if they tried. Highly recommended”
