“I needed an appointment with an OT specialist And going through the NHS I was going to have to wait many months for an appointment I found Craig on the internet and he came out to see me really quickly yes I had to pay but it was worth every penny He looked around the property we lived in and did a good assessment of my needs and my situation I have arthritis in my hips, shoulders and a back injury from my time working for the nation coal board i also have angina the property I lived in had a bath and I was struggling to get in and out of the bath Also at the same time my mother in law needed more and more attention with her daily needs He personally contacted my local housing authority as well as gave me a written letter Quite quickly I was rehoused with a 2 bedroom bungalow with a wetroom Life now is so much easier no in and out of the bath, no back and to as the mother in law now lives with us Craig works for the NHS as well as doing OT at weekends he is very knowledgeable, friendly and will help as best he can”

“I know our NHS isn't perfect but I've just spent 6 days as a patient in Whiston Hospital, I have never met more friendly, hardworking, caring & dedicated people. That includes the doctors, nurses and auxiliary staff. A special mention must be given to all the young nurses working both 12hr shifts. Where would we be without it.”

“Not sure why the bad reviews. From the moment I contacted talking matters, I've felt supported. I self referred for bereavement counselling and was actually diagnosed with PTSD. From first contact to first treatment session was about 2 months, but I was contacted in that time for things like triage and assessments. I've been having CBT for free and the difference has been amazing. I can't praise them enough. If you are willing to have some patience and wait for your treatment (they have emergency numbers if your condition deteriorates in the interim), then I highly recommend the service. My treatment would have cost thousands privately.”

She listened to what my problems were and did an examination and booked me in for another appointment in a couple weeks for a root canal. She made me feel really comfortable and explained everything in a way I could understand”

“Wonderful place. I used to come for my midwife appointments, and then started coming for the baby weigh/play, baby singalong and more recently the soft play. Lovely staff and classes, the soft play is clean and free. The cafe is cheap, but amazing food and wonderful staff. Definitely recommend. My only complaint is the breastfeeding group was full of men (basically every lady brought their husband/partner) which made me so uncomfortable, so I didn’t go again.”

“Personally I have always been well looked after by the helsby street medical centre team, they have all been so helpful, I haven’t had many issues regarding appointments and when I have been seen by the doctors the majority of them have been excellent! I have only ever had one or two issues which were sorted straight away anyway. I suffer hugely from anxiety and feel very comfortable being seen at this surgery, I could never move! I think overall it’s a really good practice and would highly recommend. They truly don’t get enough credit considering the uphill battle and difficulties the nhs are continuously facing!”

“Had a blood test at Bath street. Easy to book, friendly reception staff. Seen a lovely, compassionate, kind phlebotomy called Wingshi Yuen. So efficient, so lovely. I normally end up with a large bruise having blood taken but there wasn't a mark where she'd done it. Great example of what health practitioners should be like all the time.”
