“The first time I came in, Brad took the time to look at how my hair grows and how it sits with my head shape. He gave great advice and was absolutely spot on. Over a few visits, he managed to correct a bad cut I’d had before, and now I’m genuinely happy with how it looks. Highly recommend, Brad is the best barber I've been to in my 35 years.”

“06/02/24 - very very helpful delivery driver today! Currently on crutches recovering from a broken ankle and I’d left a message to call me when here and I’d get someone to come down. Driver called so I advised main door was open and to leave downstairs, I’d ask my son to come down. The driver actually brought all the bags upstairs to outside my door! “I went into the store on the way home from a wedding to pick up some food on the go. I'm coeliac, so I asked whether they do gluten free sandwiches. They didn't have any, but the lady I asked has offered to make me sandwiches on tje back if I pick up some gluten free bread and ingredients. I was truly touched, it's so hard to grab food on the go that's gluten free. This was great customer service, keep up the good work!”

“I had heard about the tea room from others so decided to take my mother for afternoon tea today. It was absolutely fantastic and we were both trying really hard not to gobble everything down to get on to the next treat. We savoured the sandwiches, the numerous small cakes and then the scone. The whole atmosphere was welcoming and we were not rushed in any way by the friendly staff. Would definitely visit again and great value for money. I also loved the mango and passion fruit green tea. A big well done to Poppy and her team for creating such a blissful experience.”

“we hired the outback pizza company for a birthday party with around 110 guests, they were very professional and the pizza's were amazing, all the guests commented on the quality of the food. They also catered for all our guests dietary requirements including gluten free and vegan. I would have no hesitation in booking them again and recommending to friends and family.”

“This was our first experience with an English tearoom and we are so glad it was at the delightful Dormouse Haven. We had arrived early to rent a Black Prince narrowboat for the canal and Petra warmly welcomed us to stay out of the rain as long as we needed while waiting for our boat to be ready. As tea-naive Americans, we enjoyed her recommendation for Yorkshire tea, and the Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea sandwiches, cakes and scones. The food was absolutely delicious and obviously created with passion. Too much for the two of us to eat so we took the leftovers and enjoyed them that night on the boat. And then some for breakfast the next morning. As a couple of artists, we really enjoyed and appreciated the creativity of the Alice in Wonderland decor and atmosphere. Petra's vision for the restaurant is really cool. And thanks so much to Petra for the hospitality. A highlight of our first trip to England!”
