“17th December 2025 Wandering Wednesday took Hubby and I not too far away, to The Rams Head in Grappenhall, Warrington. This picturesque little, tiny cobblestone village is so beautiful, especially when it’s been snowing, picture postcard and I’m sure filming has been done there in the past, only a couple of pubs, couple of houses and a beautiful church. The menu has plenty to offer but with it being near to Christmas, we both decided to go with something lighter as Christmas is full of rich heavy foods…. So on that note we both had the same: Ole faithful…. Fish and chips, accompanied with minted mushy peas, curry sauce and creamy tartar sauce, we both ordered a couple of slices of bread and butter. Our servers were very professional, polite and attentive, I only got the name of one of the ladies, Lauren…. Who is a totally credit to this establishment, thank you for today Lauren. Food was piping hot and tastsy.”

“Well what can I say I didn't even know this Chinese was even there i found it tonight. Well this salt and pepper chicken is absolutely brilliant it the best tasting chicken I've had from a Chinese and usually in small tatty pieces this was a good sized portion with good sized chicken bites. I will be coming here again.”

“I had the Ramen with pork belly. Simply yummy, but if you can't eat spicy food, let them know. It's a very big portion, perhaps a little too much for small eaters.Also ordered the bao bun but yet to try it, so can't comment yet.”

“Best Chinese in a while! Everything had a lot of flavour and the service was friendly and fast. We had the deep fried combination starter (bit of everything), highly flavoured char sui in spicy sauce (hadn't tried before and it was delicious, nice meat and veg cooked well in a savoury, salty sauce, not spicy in my opinion) and mushroom foo yung for the vegetarian option. The fried soft noodles have a lot more flavour than other Chineses, they have a slightly smoky flavour, and the salt and pepper chips are incredible. Really hits the spot. The ribs are good too, decent amount of meat on them and the combination starter is a good price for what you get. All the portions were generous, ended with leftovers for tomorrow. Plated up in the photos are just part of it. Got prawn crackers too which was a great addition!”

“Have been going to Bhaji Fresh for my Indian takeaway for over a year now. Being from Bolton, I know a good Indian takeaway and this is up there with any in Bolton. The service is very good here, I often pick up rather than delivery so that all money goes to the takeaway rather than the delivery companies. They'll generally tell a time and you turn up and its ready. I turned up and the food was still being cooked which I was told as soon as I arrived. Was completely okay with this and chose to wait sitting on the couch. The guys couldn't be more accommodating during this despite being super busy as it was boxing day, with multiple updates on the food and when it would be ready (without being prompted). All food here is made fresh and with a lot of care, the staff are really friendly and they have a recent 5 star food hygiene rating also. I had the tandoori mixed grill with chips, rice, garlic naan and madras sauce. Could not fault any of it, all of it was great.”

“Spring rolls are great and are hot when you get home. Quality food too! I would rank many items as a must try. Used to love the salt pepper ribs as I have compared them to restaurant quality. However these are now in a different thicker coating but still enjoyable! Try the Singapore vermicelli and the crispy chilli beef. You wont be disappointed!”

“I love this place, it's one of my favourite restaurants. I usually come here with my son who's 16, as he loves eating here. We've been on a Monday a few times during half term when it's half price. Great value, friendly staff. Can't fault it. I hope it reopens when restaurants are allowed to open again, as we'd love to have another meal here.”
