“Had this amazing curry box from Amantola last Friday. It came with a chicken in a delicious curry sauce, Donna meat, vegetables and curried chips. It came with a side of flatbreads and was great for sharing with the family. We always have a Friday night curry from here and it’s always excellent! Maroosh makes sure everything is delivered fresh.”

“I visited SW with 2 girlfriends this week. They have a new Chef - Luke and a new menu. The best restaurant meal I have had in Chester it was delicious. Great menu - I started with steak tartare followed by the monkfish in lobster sauce. All beautifully prepared and presented the flavours were perfection. The staff were wonderful. Attentive without being intrusive. We had a fantastic evening. Would highly recommend.”

“Stopped by on a work trip to Chester - the hotel restaurant was busy and they recommended this place and I am really glad I went! The food was lovely - everything tasted very fresh and authentic. It was really busy but they were still able to find a table for me, and the food came out very quickly. Despite being busy, they were very attentive. I ordered the linguine al pesto and the tiramisu and both were fantastic. If I'm ever in Chester again, I'll be sure to pop by again!”

“Came back here as I remember really liking the place as a child and was still amazed with how good the restaurant still is. Me and my partner came into the restaurant at 19:30 on a Friday and greeted by the staff which were super friendly. The restaurant was very quiet as well which was very nice to see so we had no problem being seen when we needed to by the staff. Great selection on the menu and we chose the Seafood platter which we both really liked the look of as well as some extra garlic bread. We both really enjoyed the food. Although we would suggest avoiding the garlic bread as it was £4.70 and we only got two small pieces which we didn’t think was too great. Although we thought the seafood platter was really good for the price. We both really enjoyed all the food and would definitely come again.”

“What a gem. Hadn't booked but they kindly fitted us in, and I'm glad we went. The food was spectacular with a great choice from the menu. Only down side was that I was a little disappointed with the amount of vegetables/ potatoes that came with it. Easily resolved by ordering some more, but it was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Staff were polite and helpful, and although the restaurant was fully booked, we weren't at time made to feel that we had to go. Would easily recommend to anyone who comes to Chester and fancies an Italian.”

“So, first we went to another local restaurant, which didn't have a Christmas dinner ready at lunch time the first day of offering. Anyway, we thought we'd try and get in Nelson's, even though we knew it would be quite busy. The car park was quite full, but even though we had come in two cars, we found parking and went in. Christmas lunches were in full effect and the dine area was full and we couldn't get a party of three until 90 mins later. However, we could sit and be served in the lounge straight away, so we did that. We had the turkey dinner pictured and it was delicious, lots of food and everything was cooked to perfection. The gravy was lovely too. We then had a chocolate and toffee cheesecake for dessert and that was also delicious and a decent portion with a little scoop of ice cream. The staff were great and our waiter had an attention to detail I wasn't expecting. Overall I would recommend highly. My preconceived thoughts were it's going to be pretentious, but it really wasn't.”

It did not disappoint! I had the halloumi and my partner had the chicken gyros. Massive portions, fast and clean service and so, so yummy! We’ll definitely be visiting again soon!”

I ordered the Caramel Iced Latte, Chicken Milanese with Spaghetti Pomodoro, and finished off with the Quadruple Chocolate Cookie Dough dessert – everything was absolutely delicious. The Chicken Milanese was perfectly crispy and paired so well with the light, flavorful spaghetti pomodoro. The dessert was rich and indulgent – a must-try for any chocolate lover! The iced latte was also refreshing and just the right balance of sweetness and coffee. A special shoutout and big thanks to Manager Mr. Achintha, who went above and beyond to make sure our table was well looked after. His warm and professional service really stood out and added a personal touch to our evening. Highly recommend this branch for a relaxed and tasty meal. We'll definitely be back!”
