Authentic dining experience in Watford

“This was my very first time trying fish & chips in UK. And let me tell you - I WAS AMAZED. Starting from the wonderful older gentleman working the cash register to the cooks in the kitchen. The tar-tar sauce was also wonderful. After receiving my order I had to wait on my friend and in the meantime one of the workers kept me company, telling about the restaurant history and the neighbourhood. AMAZING!!!!”

“Had a great time in here with my boyfriend on Saturday night. The waiter was so chatty and we just didn't want to leave not even when they had to turn the sign light off and nudge us out gently. Really good curry, best I've had in a long time. Nice and hot with lots of flavour. Superb”

“Have been coming to cafe hero for some time now and always get the best coffee be it white American (hot milk) , flat white white or mocha served by the lovely Elena and her new members of team Callista who recently has been taking my order and has met all expectations. They are very welcoming, customer friendly and hospitable but above all they serve the best coffee which will not disappoint. Look forward in seeing you both again next week…. Ps the Brazilian coffee beans were amazing, so thank you ☺️”

“Pretty much ever since this place opened we've been meaning to visit and just never really got round to it. Recently we popped in for a quick lunch during some christmas shopping and my main take home is how annoyed I was at waiting so long to visit! We had a bao and dirty fries meal (with a drink) each - both less than a tenner each and so so good. The bao were fluffy with clearly freshly made ingredients (i had the short rib and my partner the fried chicken), both with portions of dirty fries (i had katsu and she had the vietnamese). The portions of fries alone would have made a meal and were so good. If you want fantastic food, freshly cooked and served quickly, at reasonable prices then I can't recommend this place more. My partner said she was really disappointed that we don't live local enough for somewhere like this to be available on a delivery app. Personally i was quite glad it wasn't close enough as i think we'd end up ordering from them several times a week1”

“Absolutely love Slow boat. My parents have ordered here since I was a kid. I'm now 28 & living on my own with my own family & still order from here. Staff are lovely as always, food is lovely as always. They say delivery can take up to an hour & a half on the weekends but they always deliver alot sooner. Cannot fault you guys”

“I had a good experience at this Taco Bell in Watford. It’s exactly what I expect from the brand: quick service, decent prices, and food that hits the spot when you’re in the mood for something simple and tasty. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. My order came out quickly and everything was hot and freshly made. The tacos and quesadillas were exactly what I wanted — nothing fancy, just enjoyable fast food. Overall, it was a straightforward and satisfying visit. “I've had pizzas from here since I went to college over 15 years ago and after moving back to the area recently it's still just as good as I remember. A little more expensive than your typical local pizza place, but still cheaper than the big chains and easily as good if not better too. Order about 11.15pm about got my food about 11.50pm just before they closed. Everything was cooked perfectly and the delivery was fast.”

“Ordered crispy shredded beef, squid, vegetable noodles and crispy tofu. All fine - Fair price and big portions. Had to write a review though for the crispy shredded beef, it’s the best I had in a long long time. In many Chinese restaurant, you barely get any meat on those, just thin deep fried batter. Here however, it’s chunky and well prepared (took the picture until I already had half of it unfortunately :P ).”

“Tried this place after they did the eat out to help out thing and been getting pizza from here ever since. Only ever had veggie and Margherita pizza but tbh we love it, tons of toppings and cheese compared to the big franchises. Quite heavy so go a size lower than you normally do if you're not a big eater. Good owner too, not a man of many words but always friendly. Many poor reviews from just eat orders, we always call ahead and never had a probem, guess technology really does disrupt everything in life!”
