Authentic experience in Ilford

“Very impressed! Came with friends, we were not sure where to go that evening midweek, booked a table. The place was pretty empty on a Tuesday evening so we wondered how the food would be. However, the food was amazing. Lovely menu, not the usual boring Indian dishes. Fancy names for everything including drinks! It’s a fine dining place after all. We ordered a different starters that were spicy and nice on the taste palette. Main dishes were very delicious too and we were too full otherwise would have tried desserts too. It is well decorated and you can take loads of instagrammable photos there! I definitely recommend this place, whether for a date or just to have a night out with friends!”

The staff are quick at dealing with orders and always friendly got great communication skills the chef is blatantly working hard cooking up peoples orders it's in a great location as well.”

“I had an amazing experience at Saravana Bhavan! Everything was fresh, authentic, and full of flavour, but what really stood out were the chutneys. The coconut chutney was perfectly smooth and creamy, the masala chutney had just the right kick of spices, and the mint chutney was refreshingly vibrant. Each one complemented the dishes wonderfully. The food overall was delicious — soft, fluffy dosas, perfectly cooked idlis, and rich, aromatic curries. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the restaurant had a clean, welcoming atmosphere that made dining very enjoyable. If you love authentic South Indian cuisine and incredible chutneys, Saravana Bhavan is a must-visit. Every bite felt like a true taste of home!”

“Very good clean packaging! Great customer service! Good portions and FRESH salads! Not soggy and old salads like most places give. The nihari was amazing, the roti and naan were nice too. Their chicken curry is amazing! All of their curries are really nice, best Pakistani food in the area! The biryani was nice but tasted a bit dry and I only got one small piece of meat which was disappointing. I’ll order again because the food was still really nice!”

“Everything good but faiza the girl work overthere is really rude to customer showing attitude just tell her to be nice and polite to customers as no business can run without customers and staff is there to give good service to peoples not to show them attitude. What will you lose by being nice to customers and we are regular customers we almost come everyday, so just noticed this. Otherwise everything is really good from taste to costumer service from other two girls.”

“We booked a private dining area on the lower ground floor for an intimate graduation celebration and the service and food was outstanding! We ordered a few tawa grills which was absolutely delicious 10/10 and some biriyanis. The grills were cooked to perfection, tender and flavourful and the lamb chops was the best. With all honesty, the food was the best Pakistani food we’ve had at a restaurant. The private dining area is beautiful itself and perfect for private functions. All the staff including manager Sarwar and the waitresses provided the best service. Thank you for a memorable evening.”

“We went there around 6 pm weekday. We were first to go , all the items were fresh and hot. Chicken tikka, sheekh kebab , fish fry , chicken wings , haleem were hot , spicy , fresh, no bad smell at all. Nalli Nihari was good, lamb karahi was more like Bengali curry but the taste was superb. Chicken biryani was also awesome with some excellent flavours. My family with kids thoroughly enjoyed this delicious food. Compare to Royal nawab , items are less but I can vouch for the taste which is better than Royal nawab. Adult 18 pounds , kids under 10 is 9 pounds.”

“It's not the biggest restaurant but the atmosphere is good and the customer service is excellent. The food tastes great and the portion size is reasonable. If you are into spicy food I would recommend ordering the vindaloo or Madras (chicken or lamb) available”

“Very good food, really fresh and tasty and the price is very reasonable. We were taken care of by the waiter by name Khaisa. He was very quick in taking our order. The staff are very welcoming. Food arrived within 10min. This was my 3rd visit to this restaurant. Whenever I am in Ilford I tend to visit Watan for lunch. Thanks Khaisa.”

“Hello , Today we ordered food from Hemas local kitchen and we were absolutely delighted with what we received. The food was packaged so well and the chapattis were very good and soft to have . The dhal was my favourite..though it was the thokku that was a bit hit in our house, especially my daughter's. We would def recommend Hemas local Kitchen for not just taste alone but the quality too . We are looking forward to you expanding into other food items as well . Will order again”
