“Great cafe in Putney. Ignore the chains on the high street and you'll be rewarded. Good range of gluten free cakes, smoothies, coffees.”
“Lovely hidden gem! Best Persian food in town. I have been a couple of times and particularly love their mirza with their home made bread, their leek soup, and their home made cakes! Oh the pomegranate jelly is to die for! A must try!”
“Best coffee in the Richmond/Sheen area! Not only that but they have an amazing Italian Deli attached. Owners are the most wonderfully welcoming people who really take the time to get to know their customers and make you feel so loved you can’t help but keep coming back. The closest I have come to an authentic Italian coffee house outside of Italy!”
“Picked this venue for a coffee after reading the great reviews and was not disappointed. Don't be fooled by the modest entrance, the shop is a visual cornucopia of artistic delights. The drinks arrived in cute, hand painted cups and saucers, with small wooden spoons and the coffees adorned with coffee art. We sat and took in all the amazing decor which was for sale: cups, small serving dishes, bags, spoons, a menagerie of small crocheted animals with some in key ring form plus so much more. It was a feast for the eyes and brain to take in everything that was on display. The coffee was equally good and hope to try one of the cakes next time. An absolute joy for the senses and would highly recommend.”
“I had the absolute pleasure of seeing Aga at Trevor Sorbie Richmond, and it genuinely exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, she created a space that felt calm, kind, and completely attuned to me. I’d shared that I have ADHD - something I often hesitate to mention - but she picked up on exactly how best to work with that. She explained things clearly, without overwhelm, and made it easy for me to ask questions and feel at ease just being myself. That kind of intuitive empathy is rare. What really stood out, though, is her expertise. She’s not just skilled - she’s deeply knowledgeable, thoughtful, and clearly passionate about her craft. We talked through their new colour system (Yuv) and how to achieve a look that would be both long-lasting and flattering as it grows out. Her recommendations were spot on, and the result is both effortless and elevated - subtle highlights with face-framing that really lifts the whole look. The salon itself is lovely (the massage chairs at the backwash were bliss), and I left with sleek, healthy hair and a big smile on my face. See the photos — they say it all. I can't recommend her highly enough.”
“Delicious food at a decent price and lovely service. The cafe has been beautifully redecorated too. Plus we could watch our kids in the playground whilst enjoying the fair!!”
“This is my favorite place in the area for brekkie. Incredible breakfasts to be found here! For anyone, but special mention to how much variety and quality there is in the vegan menu as well. And so many vegan cakes too!!! My partner also wants it to be mentioned how this is the best coffee she has had in the whole of London. Strong words from an Italian.”
“Really lovely park cafe. The staff are so friendly. Lots of people came and talked to the owners/staff. Very welcoming. The food was delicious and clearly homemade. I can't wait to make their vegetarian roll. Love when you talk to someone who works in a cafe and knows whats in it and how it is made. Very impressed. And tasty desserts. Thanks for a nice break during our walk.”
“Went here for brunch and really enjoyed their portion sizes and their wide variety of brunch/breakfast options. Their full English breakfast was great value for money and was really filling and great portion sizes. The bacon was crisp and their sausages weren’t too greasy which was a perfect combination. Would highly recommend their brunch for anyone in the area. Their fresh juices were a great complement to the brunch.”
“The best Japanese food in London. I go for their lunch plate every week.”
“Really nice little café in a quiet neighborhood. It’s calm and peaceful, perfect for a slow Saturday or Sunday morning with a coffee and a book. Not crowded, just relaxed. The staff are friendly and polite, and the whole place has a nice, welcoming feel. Feels like a bit of a hidden gem in this area.”
“Great coffee and a cozy place to sit for a short time to drink it. Busy enough that this may not be ideal for longer coffee shop days or larger groups if dining in.”
“Lovely store and officially the best matcha I’ve had in London their Olive oil cake is so good too!”
“Very nice little cafe, service is unbelievably fast an yet you don’t feel rushed. The food quality and quantity was just right and for the location it was extremely well priced. Very nice inside and the decor is very traditional and inviting. I would recommend to anyone looking for some light lunch or breakfast.”
“The best Breakfast in the area!! Proper English Breakfast, delicate coffee, super friendly staff, not noisy inside at all... That is what you need for a hangover :) Seriously: the owner/boss is a great guy and it is not only my opinion, the staff says the same too and maybe this is the recipe for Cappuccino success. Always smiling Klaudia and Asia will help you with delicious choices, been there so many times, just love it! Kids friendly place too, no matter how busy the place is. Merry Christmas from Maciej and family... and C u after New Years!! :)”
“Quality. Variety. Been going here for a couple of decades. Consistently excellent. Always a nice welcome and attentive and confident service. Really good breakfast choices. Wide salad selection. Just addicted !”
“Beautiful little cafe nestled near Kew Gardens Train station! Obviously a popular pitstop for locals and tourists. We enjoyed a lovely coffee and croissant here last week and we were really impressed.”
“This Ham Cafe is open now after a six month if I am not wrong. New management, New menu and great tasty food and amazing coffee. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. So much clearer and tidy then before.”
“A nice coffee shop. I ordered a cup of Matcha Latte, and one croissant. The Matcha Latte was good, but the croissant was not fresh. The staffs were friendly, and helpful. 5 stars for them. Sockets for charging are available. Toilets for customers are available.”
“Lovely cafe, bigger than it looks. Large selection of home made snacks and pastries. Great atmosphere. Perfect for breakfast”
“I went to The Princess Head for a Sunday roast, mainly because it was featured in the American TV series Ted Lasso, and I’ve been exploring the hidden gems of London lately. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from the food since touristy spots can be hit or miss, but wow… it completely blew me away. We ordered both the chicken roast and the lamb roast. Both were delicious, though slightly on the expensive side. I had the lamb roast, and it was beyond words; beautifully tender, literally falling off the bone, with rich, velvety gravy, golden roast potatoes cooked to perfection, and creamy cauliflower cheese that tied everything together. The chicken roast was fantastic too, but the lamb was definitely the star of the show. The ambience was warm and inviting, full of charm, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. You’ll spot quite a few American tourists enjoying the vibe, which adds to the lively, welcoming feel of the place. To top it off, the pub sits right opposite a beautiful little park, and the surrounding street has that quintessential English charm, dotted with small shops selling things related to the show. All in all, it’s the kind of spot that makes you fall in love with London all over again, a true gem I’d highly recommend! ✨”
“Great spot. Full of locals!!! Yummy snacks & coffees! I had the bagel with goats cheese & tomato. It was lovely. Cozy spot.”
“Delicious meals, great service, local atmosphere! I enjoyed breakfast so much! I definitely come back here✌️”
“I had black Americano and my wife had cappuccino, we both really enjoyed our drinks a lot. My Americano had that light fruity aftertaste that you often only find with very high quality, it was genuinely very delicious. The interior is relaxing, calm and light and we really appreciate the soft music as well, not at all over the top. I love what this place is going for, as I am new to the area it's nice to find a place nearby that I know I can be comfortable in. The woman serving us on Monday 6th was also very kind.”
“I was visiting Kingston from out of town and popped in for a quick bite to eat. Great customer service, and the food was absolutely delicious. Will be coming back with a book for a nice cup of coffee when I’m next in Kingston.”
“Nestled near the serene Kew Gardens, Café Macarong is a cozy gem that delivers a delightful mix of comfort food with a modern twist. The menu boasts an array of crowd-pleasers, including dupbap (a Korean rice bowl topped with flavorful ingredients), poke rice, and crispy fried chicken, all crafted with care and bursting with flavor. During our visit, we ordered the beef dupbap, salmon poke, and tuna poke, and each dish was a standout. The beef dupbap was hearty and satisfying, with tender beef layered over perfectly cooked rice, elevated by the café’s signature wasabi soybean sauce that added a subtle, savory kick. The salmon and tuna poke bowls were equally impressive, with fresh, vibrant ingredients harmonized by a spicy mayonnaise dressing that brought just the right amount of heat and creaminess. Every bite felt balanced and thoughtfully prepared, showcasing the kitchen’s knack for blending bold flavors with comfort. To top it all off, we sipped on their latte, which was surprisingly excellent—smooth, well-balanced, and the perfect complement to the meal. The inviting ambiance and friendly service only added to the experience, making Café Macarong a must-visit for anyone craving comforting yet elevated dishes near Kew Gardens. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu!”
“What a fantastic experiance! I always thought that the Ivy was a somewhat on the more expensive scale but it was class reasonably priced with delicious food, amazing wine selection and fantastic service! The decor was totally magical even in the toilets! Loved it and highly recommend!”
“We had a brilliant time at So Bar for a cocktail masterclass! Highly recommend for an event or celebration. The venue is perfect and the team make sure the class is personalised to the group. The cocktails were delicious and Tom and the team made sure everyone had a great time. Definitely recommend thank you So Bar!”
“Lovely little jewel of a cinema tucked off the centre of Richmond. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely visit again in the near future.”
“We have just rounded off a fantastic weekend trip to watch the rugby with a fantastic Sunday roast at the White Horse in Richmond. A really brilliant proper pub with a superb Sunday lunch menu that catered for all our family. The Pork Belly bites were incredible and the Cauliflower Cheese you could eat on its own… a must try! The staff were brilliant and easily the nicest roast I’ve had in years!”
