“What an amazing team at The Rose & Crown Heston. We attend usually for drinks, but chose to have our staff Christmas meal here this year. From the booking stage to the main event, we were treated like family. The care and attention shown to us all was very special. Louise and Nikki made sure we had a really wonderful time. The passion fruit martinis were incredible, the brisket was perfectly done, and the place had a great atmosphere. “All the way from South Africa & just looking for some good food & drink before a long trip back home, I stumbled across Big Smoke Taphouse at London Heathrow Terminal 2 & had the absolute privilege of meeting Savio, the server who knew very well I struggling with the QR Code version menu & was eager to assist me & simplify my order & dining experience. Savio was extremely friendly, helpful & patient as we took our time to go through the hard copy menus & eventually opted for Tex Mex Tacos, Pork Burnt Ends, Some Onion Rings & 2 glasses of wine. I was pleasantly surprised with the bursting flavors of the all the food, especially the smokiness of the pork burnt ends & most especially encountering very bland food in England overall, LOL. “Very homely cooked food,,, authentic indeed, loved every bite of what we had , started with ross omelette & pav bread along with masala chai and resumed later with goan thali with prawns curry(typical goan homestyle) & my fav kingfish recheado ,,,,the cozyambience and Goan music along with such delicious food just brought me back to my Goa’s old days when I used to work there. One who truly understands the homely cooked goan meal will definitely appreciate their efforts, probably the best Goan meal i ever had in UK. Service was truly welcoming by the lady & gentlman who owns the place (guessing),,,they both were very gentle and welcoming.”

“Love Jack Wills. Yes it is expensive but most quality items are these days. Sometimes the younger members of staff can be a bit rude and act a bit petulant but still love the brand and the effort gone into displays etc. Prefer to shop online so I don't have to deal with the staff. Not all are bad but there always seems to be a couple members of staff talking whilst ignoring you and then act as if you've interrupted something important by requiring their assistance. Sorry, I just want to spend hundreds of pounds but nevermind, I'll do it online so you can continue gobbing off about your weekend.”

“The staff are so helpful and are always on hand to help with shoe fittings, returns and exchanges. My encounter with the Clarks staff (Manisha and Ulfet) has always been brilliant especially although occasionally there has been a break down of communication with management. My only negative feedback would be they lack variety in terms of smart casual attire.”

“Only surviving cafe in this area to get a proper English breakfast. Food is good, and I love the atmosphere. Feels like you're in an Eastend soap. Ok, the old lady waitress is bit grumpy sometimes, but I didn't mind her. Took as part of the atmosphere, and respect the fact that they're keeping her for the job. For the negative comment I saw above, 'Not really English, is it.' This is a multicultural town, and I admire them for embracing the local culture and running it while everything local are disappearing. If you're a tourist in a neighbouring hotel, and looking heavy English breakfast I would definitely recommend it. The below meal with the tea costed me £5.60, and I wouldn't be needing food least for another 8 hours.”

“I stayed at the Radisson Red across the street and good thing I was not too tired and walked to the 3 Magpies. I had a very delicious chicken pie, my mate had the beef and beer (something like that) and they were both excelent, crispy outside and saucy inde. ashed down with a pint. Decent prices too.”

“Top Gen in Hounslow is honestly one of the best stores for variety and customer service. Veer ji and Sunny—the owners—are amazing people who truly care about their customers. I actually worked at the store as a sales representative back in 2013, and when I visited again in 2025 from Canada, Sunny bro was still just as welcoming, friendly, and accommodating as always. The store has a huge range of products at very reasonable prices, and the atmosphere is warm and genuine. If you’re in Hounslow, you should definitely check out the variety they offer—highly recommended!”
