“I have received absolutely outstanding service since joining Loughton Leisure Centre. From the very beginning, Sharon, one of the managers, has been nothing short of amazing. I initially enquired online and was quickly contacted by Sharon, who followed up with a phone call and arranged a tour. I suffer with excruciating pain and often find gyms intimidating, but Sharon’s kind and genuine nature instantly put me at ease. At one point, I became tearful during our conversation, and she didn’t just brush it off — she listened, handed me a tissue, and gave me a reassuring hug. There was never any pressure to join; instead, I felt supported and understood. That made all the difference. Since signing up, I’ve been attending regularly, and the atmosphere continues to be welcoming. Becca, another member of staff, always greets members with a big smile and even remembers names — such a simple but meaningful touch that makes you feel valued. Both Sharon and Becca are a true credit to the Centre. I’ve already recommended Loughton Leisure Centre to friends and family so they too can experience the top-class service and supportive environment. Since joining, my pain has become more manageable, and I genuinely look forward to coming in. “writing this as i eat it, firstly the staff was incredible kind and helpful with what to pick etc, and after watching them make the food and others (very carefully and with care!) i had high hopes. It certainly delivered as the food tastes exceptionally fresh and good. I don’t usually write reviews but after seeing the somewhat negative reviews i had to write my own as i am genuinely very pleased after eating here. please give this a try!”

“Can’t fault the food here. The lunch menu is great value. For £12 for two courses, you can’t go wrong. My chicken Shish was as good as any Turkish restaurant around. Very nice waiter, excellent wine. Can’t understand why it’s not more popular”

“What a delightful oasis this coffee shop is located in Loughton. It's a family run business and a great place to drop into for a coffee and a chat. Not only that the food is great....breakfast and lunch both 1st class. If u fancy a salt beef sandwich u will not get better anywhere in the south of England. If u have never called into Bishops, then you must give it a go....u will not be disappointed.”

“We held my son's 4th birthday here on Sunday and the whole experience from start to finish was brilliant. The owners are so helpful, organised and make everything very easy. On the day I didn't have to think of anything but bringing the cake and balloons - they served a great buffet for the kids, cut the cake and packed it into the party bags. My son and his friends had an amazing time together and I can't thank the team here enough. Highly recommend.”
