My veggie option for £10 had two poached eggs on mashed avocado on sourdough, old style baked beans, a piece of hash brown, mushrooms, halloumi and a good size fresh salad. Unbelievably good. My friend had roast beef and Yorkshire pudding and described it as absolutely perfect With the meat being very tender.”

“A lovely hidden gem just opposite Sainsburys in New Barnet. Really lovely relaxed atmosphere. Great coffee and even better food. I had Halloumi, mushrooms and poached eggs on sourdough bread and it was delicious.”

“This sort of coffee shop would not have existed in East Barnet Village (EBV) just 15 years ago. Things are changing, and for the better. Such a nice place to come and read, or talk with friends, or bring your laptop and do some work. The coffee is delicious (served at drinking temperature) and they have a girl who can draw anything on the top of it. A drosophila, a seal, a polar bear, a snowman, or a seahorse, a mouse, a house, even the big ball of hydrogen in the sky (the Sun), you name it, she can draw it. EBV is on the up. The only thing holding back businesses is the awful road - the road detracts from the experience of doing anything in the village. With time, this problem shall be solved. Elite cafe. Well worth a visit.”

“Angel Cafe is one of my favourite places to go. The staff are always so kind and welcoming, and the service is genuinely amazing every time. It’s such a lovely atmosphere really cosy and relaxing. The food is always fresh and delicious, and there’s such a great variety to choose from. “Sunday lunch around 12:30pm in the cafe with my husband and little boy. Many people sitting outdoor enjoying the sunshine. We chose to sit indoor but only us, no air conditioner but not hot. Comfortable. We ordered 3 things, I love the bagel most. Avocado with smoke salmon and eggs. The soup and the all day breakfast are yummy too. Around £28 total with drinks. I must come again if I go to this park next time.”

“What can I say, but WOW! Compared to other "coffee shops" in the area, it has a more extensive menu. Compared to cafes in general, the food was fresh and flavoursome, the staff were warm and friendly and the atmosphere was cordial and relaxing. The tables were very clean and even shiny. Nothing to fault this for, and it even has a garden you can sit in.”

“This animal rescue centre is a sweet place that's run by volunteers and looks after animals in need of assistance. You can pay a small fee to visit the animals, which I highly recommend, before stopping for a drink and a snack on your way out. Well worth supporting!”
