We were happily surprised by the quality and the variety of choice we have been shown at the Barnet showroom of Schmidt kitchens. We made up our mind after discussing with Sara Ristuccia the in-house designer. We felt really lucky to meet an experienced interior design professional with unlimited patience in listening our multiple ideas. Sara was instrumental in making us feel comfortable expressing our views, carefully explained the functional and decorative consequences (positives or negatives) of each one of our proposals. At the end of a few appointments and constructive feedback and guidance, she helped us finalise an extremely satisfactory design for a fully functional, enjoyable and easy to live kitchen. We strongly recommend anyone who wants a personal bespoke touch to their house to speak to her. “New Barnet Cabs.The 8 passenger people provider (Mercedes Vito) was truly spacious. We had lots of baggage along with hand baggage however this was all carried away thoroughly leaving all of us with a lot of leg space in the car. Our journey to Gatwick was smooth and an unwinded and a great start to our holiday. Bottles of water were available in the car for everyone. All in all an excellent experience, however. “The Function band were part of our wedding day a few months ago. Honestly, we had the best day ever, they were simply incredible from start to finish!!! “Updated review! Around a year ago I wrote a review for A1 pitstop, but at that point I had only been there for my MOT’s, which I still do! I wanted to review the other work I’ve had done there. A few months ago I had a very slow puncture on one of my tyres and I couldn’t figure out what was causing it, I called the garage and within 1 working day l was booked in! Mehdi and his colleague got their little head lights on and managed to find a tinnie tiny nail in a really awkward spot, they repaired it and then checked the pressure of all four of my tyres making sure they were what they should be. I have had no issues with this tyre since, and to my surprise I was only charged £25! More recently as a result of my cars service at a main dealer I was informed my front break pads and break discs were 80% worn and needed replacing, they offered to do this work for nearly £300. I said I would like to see if a place more local to me would do this sort of work instead. I called A1 pit stop the following week to ask if they did this, which they did! They texted me with a quote and had availability the following day at a time I picked. Once I arrived Mehdi and Denise wanted to check the car to see if I actually did need the work done as sometimes (not always!) main dealers say you do when you actually don’t. I really really appreciated this, it just shows what an honest garage this is. The work was all done and I was charged less than I was quoted, which was already substantially less than the main dealer. If anyone is looking for a garage for repairs or MOTs I really recommend A1 pitstop, it’s so reassuring going somewhere I can trust. Original review over a year ago: After my car reached 3 years old I had to start taking it to get its MOT. I had a look around my area and A1 pit stop stood out. It’s super close to me and had great reviews. I have now taken my car here for the past few years and I am so impressed with the service. On the most recent occasion I accidentally turned up an hour earlier than my appointment but they were more than happy to get working on my car as soon as they could. I then got a call 50 minutes later letting me know all has gone well and it is ready for pick-up. The price is very reasonable for the work they do, they let me know my tyres might need replacing soon and presented me with options and costs, also the name of the tyres I had on already (I wouldn’t have had a clue!). Denise on the front desk is kind, polite and always willing to help anyway she can. The gentlemen that does the work on the car is friendly and very good at his job. I will continue to go here for my MOT and my parents and friends have also started to go here based on my experiences.”

Very friendly service and the bar tenders are always helpful with helping me choose something new to try. Clean, good environment and lovely food. The portions are decent. Nice that there is seating outside for us smokers”

“I couldn’t recommend this place more. My little girl had a raging fever and a rash. I called 111 and they referred me to the surgery. I called them and after almost an hour I got cut off. I then went to Prima Pharmacy. The pharmacist was so knowledgeable and reassuring and made me feel at ease. I showed him photos that I had taken and explained that I had done the “glass test”. After spending quite some time, he said it looked like heat rash and recommended some medicine for the temperature. He then said I should call 111 again or even go to A&E if it got worse and said I could call him at any time. Turns out he was right. The fever went down and the rash cleared up. For a first time dad he was really comforting and I will now continue to use him.”

“This animal rescue centre is a sweet place that's run by volunteers and looks after animals in need of assistance. You can pay a small fee to visit the animals, which I highly recommend, before stopping for a drink and a snack on your way out. Well worth supporting!”
