โI found this dance studio online and went for a trial session this Friday. The venue itself is easy enough to get to via Uber or public transport (a walk to St James Park UG). The people who work there couldn't have been nicer, very welcoming and knowledgeable! I met my dance instructor and we had a short intro discussion about what I'd like to learn / achieve before getting on the dance floor. The space is brilliant and the team are incredibly friendly and hospitable - I have signed up for lessons and would definitely recommend to anyone who wishes to learn. Hot tip for newbies, wear flat shoes.โ
โMe and my fiancรฉ took lessons with Paul here prior to our wedding. Paul was a great teacher and helped us come up with a routine and perfect this over a couple of lessons. Everyone has said they loved our first danceโ
โMy 3y old joined the children ballet class and really loved it. The teacher was professional, gave individual attention, encouraging, correcting and reassuring them. Great way for training the little muscles and posture whilst having fun!โ
โI joined Jig and a swig in January and itโs the best thing Iโve done since moving to London. Jessie creates such a fun, open and welcoming environment from the first minute. She is a brilliant teacher and does this all while keeping the classes organised and running smoothly, seemingly effortlessly! The community is fantastic, full of like-minded people who also want to try something new and make friends along the way, made easier by the fact that you see them every week. There are extra events being run all of the time and so many opportunities to get involved if the weekly class isnโt enough:)โ
โThis is the BEST most fun Salsa class I have been to. Mohammed is the most brilliant teacher, patient, fun and fantastic at teaching! Really couldnโt recommend this Salsa class more. Truly the best experience!!โ
โWe booked sessions with captiv8 dance to prepare for a wedding dance at the suggestion of my fiancรฉ. I want massively bothered about it but went along with it. It turned out to be one of the most fun bits of the wedding prep. Oya is such a good teacher, so flexible and so enthusiastic. She doesn't teach you just a routine but how to dance. We found the practice to be an ideal antidote to wedding stress. When it came to the wedding we nailed it, and it felt so good. We even did our dance at home the day later as we missed it. We're planning on doing follow up lessons as we loved it so much!โ
โAdult contemporary class is the most rewarding thing I could do on Thursday evenings. Always open for experiments, fun and friendly environment. Lots of options to enjoy - either fancy warm-up, or space-filling diagonals, or new exciting choreo. And amazing opportunity to perform in front of friendly audience few times a year. I love our teacher Gemma - the most dedicated and cheerful person I ever know. Whoever wants trying - you are welcome to join a family of Sutton contemporary dancers!โ
โMy son, he is 16 years old, he started attending ESDA this January. He has been learning HipHopDance since he was 8 years old in the U.S. We were looking for a cool dance school where he could use his experience and we found ESDA. We also appreciate the regular competitions, show times, and exams to measure his ability. We also appreciate the connections to event shows and the opportunity to showcase our dances at events.โ
โIf youโre thinking of starting a new hobby or getting into dancing, this is the class for you!!! Nuno and all of the lovely instructors are amazing, patient and have great sense of humours. Thereโs no self-consciousness. Nuno even choreographed our wedding dance! Best dance class EVER.โ
โPopGems is an incredible place where children can truly explore their creativity and talents. The staff are not only dedicated but also passionate about creating a positive, welcoming atmosphere where kids can dance, act, and sing in a fun and supportive environment. It's clear that a lot of hard work goes into making every class enjoyable, and itโs evident how much the kids love being there. I highly recommend PopGems to any parent looking for a place where their child can grow, have fun, and discover their creative potential. Itโs been a wonderful experience!โ
โExcellent friendly classes with great teachers and demos you can record to practice. I go alone and always feel very welcome. Highly recvomemd for a great start to your week !โ
โAna is such an amazing instructor. She made the class so fun and enjoyable while learning very key skills. I would definitely recommend her classes to everyone!โ
โIf youโre thinking of trying pole you should absolutely do it!! Did the 6 week beginners course and I wasnโt particularly fit beforehand but everyone was so lovely and you build up strength really quickly! My trainer, Jai, was incredibly lovely and encouraging! Had the best time and will definitely be back!โ
โWe are so pleased with our daughterโs growth and confidence in her ballet classes! She is constantly talking about ballet and says โmy ballet schoolโ anytime we walk past. Sheโs almost 2.5 years old and I know her classes will support her confidence in everything she does. Ms Amy is an amazing teacher and so supportive. Thank you!โ
โWe have been attending Neil's classes for some years and they are always very enjoyable and rewarding as he is a great teacher, whatever your level. He takes the time to explain and demonstrate all steps and the routine in detail and there is always a sense of achievement when learning a new skill in such a super environment. Neil's classes are also always great fun - he has a particular style and sense of humour, varied and well structured. We have also tried private lessons which are of great value. Rubies and Neil much deserve all success and are highly recommended!โ
โHayley and the team at DH dance are so lovely! My son (4) started Street Dance this year having never attended a club outside of school before. He was really nervous and unsure to start with but really quickly started to grow in confidence every week. At that age, the most important thing is to have fun and develop confidence and weโve achieved both of those with DH Dance this year! Thank you!โ
โVirginia from Salsateca Dance School attended our corporate Latin Hispanic Heritage month event and was a great dancing instructor. Her great charisma and sense of humour teased many of our colleagues into dancing not only solo but as couples! We all had a great night! Will be booking Salsateca again!!!!โ
โMy daughter has grown so much confidence whilst attending Hertsmere Academy of Dance and performing arts, the staff are so lovely and friendly. I would definitely recommend this performing arts school if your wanting your child to learn or build on the knowledge they already have.โ
โMy daughter, 7 years old, has been attending Lyric Dance School for a couple of years. It's dancing, singing, acting combined with physical fun games. She absolutely loves it. Huge thanks to the teachers.โ
โI am thrilled to share our experience with the ballet and performance classes! This is our second year, and my daughter couldn't be happier. The teachers are truly amazingโdedicated, supportive, and incredibly talented. They create a nurturing environment that encourages the students to express themselves and grow in their skills. We've seen remarkable progress in my daughter's confidence and technique, and it's been a joy to watch her passion for dance flourish. The classes are well-structured and engaging, making learning fun for all the kids. We wholeheartedly recommend these classes to everyone looking for a positive and enriching experience in dance. It's been a wonderful journey for us, and we can't wait to see what the future holds!โ
โI've been taking Belly Dancing lessons for half a year, from Marta, Sandra, and Farrah. All three ladies are excellent teachers. They make sure to repeat the moves so you remember and master them over time. As is the case with every dance, practice makes perfect. It's a ladies-only class, students of all ages and walks of life are welcomed. You can progress from one level to the next, as well as sign up for multiple (paid) lessons in the same week, should you wish to practice a little bit more. These belly dancing lessons are my favourite part of the week; they allow me to relax and have fun, providing a welcome relief during a stressful work week.โ
โI recently took salsa classes at Salsa Tropical and had a wonderful experience. The instructors were both friendly and knowledgeable, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made learning enjoyable even for a beginner like me. What impressed me most was how well-paced the class progression was - they built skills gradually without rushing through the fundamentals, which helped me feel confident as we moved to more complex steps and combinations. The instructors took time to work with students individually when needed, and their expertise really showed in how they broke down the movements and explained the rhythm. I'd definitely recommend Salsa Tropical to anyone looking to learn salsa in a supportive, well-structured environment.โ
โA welcoming and fun dance school, we would heavily recommend them to anyone wishing to try it out as a hobby! We started about a year ago with no experience whatsoever, and under the careful tutoring of the flow dance team through the group classes weโve already seen such improvement and had a lot of fun. A special shout out to Jan who has been absolutely excellent in our private classes, always happy to help and very knowledgable!โ
โRhythm & Vibes Dance Co is a WHOLE VIBE @Salsa Temple! By providing multiple different levels for their classes they make it easy to find the right entry point for you and will coach you through the levels as you progress. They also host socials almost every night they run which is really unique to them and allows you to practice and compound what you learn in the lessons which is super valuable. The teachers themselves are both excellent dancers and instructors. The vibes overall is always good humoured, energetic and fun.โ
โI took a three hour masterclass on turns with Gee and it was so much fun! She teaches in a really approachable way and gives really doable feedback and corrections. She will adhere the corrections to you dancing level as well, which is great because I'm coming in as a beginner level after many years away from dance. The studio space at The Place was very large as well with natural light and a mirrored wall so it was ideal for the large class size we had. I can't wait to take another class with London Ballet Classes!โ
โMy daughter has been at KDA for a couple months and she has absolutely loved it. The teachers are great and always try to motivate the girls to be their best. The community is really nice and feels like a family.xxโ
โI2D is an amazing studio, great venue, very professional, talented (yet fun) teachers and an inspiring atmosphere! I have joined the studio at the start of the year and have been absolutely enjoying it. There is something for everyone - a genuine interest at perfecting the technique and your progress at Latin classes and social Thursday (Latin and ballroom) classes where you can practice in a friendly, warm environment. Maksym is a great teacher, who clearly loves what he does and very passionate about dancing. He is very patient, creative, incredible at explaining the technique and puts effort in making classes useful to everyone. He helps you challenge yourself without feeling discouraged and makes me always look forward to the next class!โ
โHeidi was such a great teacher, really friendly and relaxed for our mixed private salsa class of 4. We had a really fun evening would recommend to anyone looking to start salsaโ
โOne of the best Art schools in London! The team is Amazing and very helpful. Very happy with the teachers as well, as they are very talented, patient and well educated. Highly recommended.โ
โI have now been a student in Danceforce for over a year and I am so happy that I made the decision to move here when I did. I was greeted warmly from the first day of class and have enjoyed every lesson since then. Miss Lexie is incredibly hardworking and kind and has inspired me to think about teaching dance myself in the future. Miss Jennifer, Miss Christie and Miss Carol are all amazing teachers - my experiences in dance-force have really helped me grow as a person - and I couldnโt be more grateful. I could not recommend Dance force more to someone starting or moving to a new dance school. The sense of community is amazing and I genuinely look forward to coming to dance now. Thank you so much!โ
