“My 4 year old daughter attends Ballet at Starmakerz every week and she absolutely adores it. Every morning she asks “is it ballet today?” it is without doubt the highlight of her week. She was nervous to start with but Lisa and the team were amazing at encouraging her to give it a try and even offered us a second free trial, after which I could barely drag her away at the end! Really can’t recommend highly enough, even for the shy children it’s a brilliant confidence boost.”

“Needed quick delivery on Saturday for some building material and I found Alsford on google. They really didnt disappoint. Delivered next day. Their staff seem to love what they do, very helpful. After placing the order with Ewa at Leatherhead branch, she rang me an hour later for other parts i needed which she managed to find at another branch. She organised the delivery truck to pick up and deliver. Very thankful, definitely recommended”

“Walked in late lunch. Ordered bacon and egg soft bap. After debating which bread I wanted roll, sandwich or soft bap. Has got to be one of the best and reasonably priced lunch break for a long time. Staff very friendly and willing to help. And will literally go out of their way to accommodate if possible. Amazing service and food”

“Wonderful. That probably doesn't do it justice. The location is idyllic. The house is gorgeous and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. We sat outside as it was a lovely day with a spectacular view across the valley. We went for the set menu. It's not cheap but actually it's not unreasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. A few surprises (ants - deliberately - on the sushi) which were utterly delicious. We had different choices and every one of them was fantastic. Service was brilliant - friendly and informative - and the whole experience was unrushed, relaxed and sublime. Couldn't have had a better celebration of our anniversary. I also can't reccommend it enough.”

“Having recently taken delivery of two Parker Knoll sofas and armchair, with which we are delighted, I would like to say it was a pleasure to deal with Englishman's Castle. The staff were friendly and helpful, willing to offer advice with no pressure. Availability was far quicker than we had expected and delivery on the date agreed. They also matched the price of another retailer. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.”

“Great selection, and having ordered multiple times, I can say that the food is always very good in terms of quality, quantity and value for money. Friendly delivery people too. Only issue I have had (and not just once) is with the timed order function on the website. On one occasion, it arrived 90 minutes early and I had to send it back - we simply weren’t ready because we were in the middle of some DIY (which is why I ordered it for a set time). It’s happened since, albeit not with such an extreme difference between the time for which I requested delivery and the time food arrived. I’ve defaulted to just ordering later in the evening so that the delivery time is broadly the one I’d have chosen if the timed order function could be relied on. Like I say, that is the only gripe - just something of which to be aware if you’re someone that likes to place timed orders.”

“We were due to attend Grange Park during the 'Lost Season' of 2020, so three years later and we were delighted to see Tosca on a beautiful Saturday evening. I loved the grounds, far more natural than some opera festivals, with lots of interesting spaces to enjoy your picnic, relaxed was definitely the vibe for the evening. We went for the Grange vegetarian picnic and bottle of sparkling and although not cheap, both were excellent quality. The performance was of of course first rate with all the leads on top form. Walking back to the car through the quiet grounds was a nice way to end the evening.”

“We visited for the first time on 18/12/25, the interior was beautiful with a roaring fire, the staff were attentive, friendly and very welcoming. We had the Turkey pie to share, full of meat, with excellent pastry! We had the chocolate yuke log dessert which was phenomenal! We will be going back as it was a lovely experience.”

“A recommended choice if you look for good food, often with a twist to keep it interesting. Highlight for us were the muscles, fish, pumpkin stuffed pasta, the very low alcohol beer and deserts. But I would trust the chef with anything. Everything was cooked on point. The staff was lovely and happy to ensure we were comfortable and looked after. We spend a bit more on drinks however the meal prices were entirely worth the price and reasonable. A real food highlight for the area and definitely the choice for bringing guests.
