Dining destination in Twickenham

“Extremely well-located Lebanese restaurant - at the heart of Twickenham’s high street area. I mostly opt for takeaways. The restaurant is small but cosy. The food is delicious with a large vegetarian selection. Busy at all hours but the staff is mostly friendly! I liked the dishes, the crockery and the place has a buzz during the day, especially on weekends. On a recent dine-in we tried the yoghurt & cucumber starter dish, a couple of vegetarian wraps and a Meze platter for one - which was especially good value for even two people, if accompanied with a selection of 3 or so savouries! Tasty food and at good value. The staff are friendly and cordial, but the service isn’t exemplary - if only because the place is really busy at most times and staff are busier with the preparation. Even so, it’s the kind of local diner you’d find yourself visiting fairly frequently. I recommend it !”

“Had a delicious birthday meal here last week. Food was absolutely delicious (we opted for the tapas style dishes which were all very yummy) and our servers were extremely kind and welcoming!”

“The noodle dishes were excellent, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. We also had the Thai green curry and jungle curry, which were both very tasty. The jasmine rice and sticky rice went well with them. The staff were friendly and helped us choose our dishes. A big plus is that the chicken is halal. Overall, the food was delicious, and the service was great. Highly recommend!”

“Very rare when I see Indian/ Asian restaurant don’t add oil to everything! Very fresh, spicy delicious and homemade Indian food! Their paneer is to die for”

“1st time and it was a lovely pub near the Rugby (and I could park my motorcycle in the street). The young staff were welcoming, even when I asked if I could have 3 pints of Naked Ladies, if I wasn't being wound up by my buddies who drink there regularly for rugby. BTW they have Erdinger in bottles, including alcohol free so I could enjoy a beer.”

“If you want to eat the best chicken shish in London a must visit location… a lovely family owned kebaba shop which we have been visiting since I was little and now take my children.. well priced excellent food wonderful staff and fresh food highly recommended”

“I’ve been here multiple times over the years and have always had first class service and quality food. The staff are always super welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere is great. An absolute go to for our group of mates who come here for our reunion lunches and catch-ups. 100% recommend, especially if heading onto a rugby game afterwards! Looking forward to our next visit!”

Having been a few times before, I knew what a great place it was: friendly, welcoming and with delicious food, prepared and served with genuine passion by the owner. And this occasion was no exception. Rubik’s hospitality was - as usual - second to none, and he made my dinner date with a friend very special.”

“Lovely surprise! We have lived in the area for years and never tried the restaurant under the new management before. We liked the mussels and prawns dishes a lot. Pizza and Parmigiana were nice as a main but not as much as the starters, those were top. The chef must be really good skilled in handling fish dishes I guess, and we'll definitely be back to try more. Service was attentive and not obtrusive.”

He always makes sure to make his customers feel comfortable and satisfied with his service and the cafe is just generally really cosy and homelike-its literally like my luke's cafe to loralie (gilmore girl reference). “We stopped by Greek Cook & Grill after a day exploring Teddington, Kingston, and Richmond, and it was easily one of the best dining experiences we've had in a while. The service was genuinely top-notch, and every dish we tried—from the chicken souvlaki and sea bream to the saganaki, baklava, and portokalopita—was delicious. Great wine and friendly vibes made it a perfect end to a busy day. Highly recommend!”

“Sheraton Interiors designed and fitted our kitchen 5 years ago and we have been delighted with the quality and layout. Recently we contacted them as we needed to replace a few worn bits. Mehroze was extremely helpful and arranged for the parts to be delivered and fitted. We would thoroughly recommend this company for faultless service.”

“A real nice experience in Indian dining. Started off with the reviews of course and then the dining. The cider choice, was a koppaberg which was refreshing. Thr samosas in the chaat were complimented with channa aka chickpeas and vatiyon other accoutrements. Delicious. The murg tikka was quite good too but would have preferred fit bit more heat n the green chutney served with it. On to the main course with lamb saag and dal makhani with breads. Both ere well cooked and excellently spiced to provide a great end to the meal. Unfortunately no space for kulfi.”

“I worked in London for about two years and was staying near Tangawizi. I ate there a couple times a week many many times over that two year time frame. I absolutely love it there. The food is phenomenal and always has the highest quality ingredients. The service is exceptional as well. Eight years later, we returned to the UK for my 60th birthday and I wanted to visit them again due to the fond memories I had. Our dinner this evening was just as phenomenal as ever. The flavors and freshness of the ingredients was incredible. The King tandoori shrimp are a favorite of mine and I literally got another order for dessert rather than a normal dessert. They thought I was joking when I ordered it for dessert! I travel frequently for business and have had the opportunity to eat at many phenomenal restaurants and they are at the top of the list with the best! I’m so happy they made it through the pandemic and now celebrating 20 years. I would highly recommend Tangawizi!”

“Visited Stella's for the first time yesterday after being recommended by a friend, I must say I wasn't disappointed! Food was lovely,i ordered the smash burger and fries, it was delicious and reasonably priced. great atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend. Will definitely be returning.”

“The food is always really good no problems there they make it quickly and the woman is really nice. I have been going to the same Chinese shop since I was 10 years old. They have been there a long time and they are a staple to the area. Very affordable too.”

“This place continues to offer great service, food and drink, after years. Very impressed that they offer a few interesting drinks as well as coffee. Their tea range is great and very happy that they sell hojicha latte. Pastries are great quality and good value for money. Good playlists as well, and team are always friendly and helpful.”

“My recent dining at Brouge Gastropub was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, it was a culinary delight. The food was delicious. I had a steak, and it was cooked to perfection - tender,juicy and bursting with flavour. The cocktails were also wonderful. “Sheesh mahal We always look for a bring your own drink restaurant as they usually have the best food! This restaurant did not disappoint! We had the most amazing welcome. Were given a lovely booth for 2! We started with Poppadums and dips. Delicious! One was unique made from coconut!! With our main we chose the house special lamb chops, chicken madras, pilau rice and peshwari naan! The lamb chops were seconds to none! Unbelievable! When visiting new places we love to go to an Indian and this was in our top 10. The food was first class.”

“Came here with 6 friends of mine post-Twickenham rugby, and the service and food were absolutely amazing. Our waiter was very welcoming and friendly, and the food was delivered quickly. Every one of us had a different dish (from pad thai, to spicy crispy duck, curries, calamari, pork ribs, and more) - every single one was tender and a perfect balance of flavours. I myself got the yellow yellow noodles dish with chicken thighs, and it reminded me a lot of the Chiang Mai/Khao Soi noodles I had when I was in Thailand myself. 5 stars. Highly recommend!”

“This is our favourite café in Twickenham, perfectly located adjacent to Orleans House Gallery and with views of the gallery's woodland garden. The café is kept very clean and has good Covid protocols and plenty of outdoor seating beneath generous umbrellas in the stables courtyard. The café also has 6 or so indoor booths, which are perfect for working or catching up with a friend. We love the selection of delicious cakes, well-prepared snacks, excellent coffee and friendly staff.”
