“Amazing food. Ordered a takeaway and the food was fresh, tasty and arrived hot. There was a small mixup with our order, but the manager was exceptionally nice and helpful. They sorted it out straight away. resent the correct food and even included some complimentary extras. Really impressed with the service . we’ll definitely order again!”

“Stopped here on a Saturday lunchtime while in the area seeing friends. Even though we arrived about 30mins earlier than our booking they got us to our table fine. Team serving us were great, polite and friendly. We both really enjoyed the food. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the veg pie. Loads of parking around the back. Id advise to book in advance. Wouldn't hesitate to come again or recommend.”

“Absolutely loved our stay here. Every staff member could not have done more to make us feel welcome, from the reception staff to the restaurant, bar and spa staff. Room was lovely and we were allowed to change to a 4 person room (as opposed to 3) at no extra cost. We ate dinner here both nights and both times food was great and good value. “We enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea. A delightful selection of sandwiches and cakes. Very generous helping of cream and strawberry jam accompanied warm scones both fruit and plain. We also enjoyed a delicious individual mini mousse made with chocolate and Baileys. An excellent large pot of tea, and we were offered more tea/ coffee if we wanted. We also enjoyed a very good glass of champagne which was an optional extra. Our waiter was friendly and welcoming, all served in a lovely setting.”

“This is, by far, the best Thai food served in the local area for authenticity. I had the pad grapao, which in restaurants in the UK is normally very different from Thai style. But this dish was 100% authentic and I could have very easily been in a restaurant in Chiang Rai. Very friendly staff with the permanent 'Thai smile' and good conversation. We will definitely be coming back.”

“Like the Black Horse, this is a pub that's more of a food place than a pub, but there's a proper bar area if you're just in there for drinks. Food is good and they often have deals on. They often have entertainment on, although this is usually just a solo singer with backing tracks. The pub quiz is once a month on the first Monday of the month (although is moving to twice a month in 2026); it's a good quiz with 8 rounds of questions on a variation of subjects. Overall a decent place for the locals of Pilgrims Hatch!”

“Great evening with our group of 9 people. The staff accommodated us our request, and did not rush us to finish and leave, even though it was 11pm. We had a Lamb Bhuna but asked them to add Shatkora, which they did. Also made pani puri starter for us, but that was pre booked last week.”
