Exceptional dining in Ilford

“Had to come away for work. Long story short on the back end of a 16 hour day absolutely starving hungry we found this little gem. The food was awesome and the hospitality of the owner was second to none I would seriously advise if in the area give it a go. Really lovely people”

“We went there around 6 pm weekday. We were first to go , all the items were fresh and hot. Chicken tikka, sheekh kebab , fish fry , chicken wings , haleem were hot , spicy , fresh, no bad smell at all. Nalli Nihari was good, lamb karahi was more like Bengali curry but the taste was superb. Chicken biryani was also awesome with some excellent flavours. My family with kids thoroughly enjoyed this delicious food. Compare to Royal nawab , items are less but I can vouch for the taste which is better than Royal nawab. Adult 18 pounds , kids under 10 is 9 pounds.”

“Visited recently. Cafe decor is a bit too dark for my liking but nevertheless great atmosphere, menu and staff. My only other criticism is that there was a small piece of egg shell in my scrambled eggs. The cafe is under new management. I will certainly visit again.”

“Hello , Today we ordered food from Hemas local kitchen and we were absolutely delighted with what we received. The food was packaged so well and the chapattis were very good and soft to have . The dhal was my favourite..though it was the thokku that was a bit hit in our house, especially my daughter's. We would def recommend Hemas local Kitchen for not just taste alone but the quality too . We are looking forward to you expanding into other food items as well . Will order again”

“If you are a kebab or meat lover and looking for a halal restaurant in London, this is the place to come. The food was incredible, I'd say all the items were well prepared and cooked. You can understand that from the first bite. The service was also awesome, everyone were really welcoming and respectful. Atmosphere could be better if good songs can be played but the restaurant itself is mesmerizing. Good place to come for family gatherings.”

“I’ve never been too fond of Chinese food, but this place made me think twice about it! It’s a fusion between Indian and Chinese food. The concept of the business is excellent, and the food is the type to blow your mind. I went with three mates and we all ordered something different. I tried about of all four meals and I was thrown back by my taste buds break dancing... on all four occasions! The visit is always a pleasant one if you end up satisfied by the meal!”

“MAM GRILL HUT - first time trying the new venue which was previously known as the grill hut. Since under new ownership, the eatery has had brand new interior which is vibrant and welcoming, far greater improvement. The tables were clean and plenty of seating was available. As a group of 8 we were attended to by the extremely friendly staff. Menu items are plentiful. We opted for the grill chicken platter with 4 lamb chops grilled chicken wings and 2 large sides. Food was prepared fresh and succulent. Flavour was spot on. The fried chicken was fresh and extremely tasty. Customer service was really good with all requests being catered to. On a separate occasion we ordered takeaway and the food was just as good! A great new addition to Goodmayes. Well worth a visit.”

“If you crave spice, this is the place to go to! Recently I’ve been let down to a great extent when it comes to spicy food. The Bangladeshi Naga is the world most spiciest natural grown (non modified) spice in the world. A lot of places in east London sell Naga wings... well they claim to anyway. But it seems as though all the places have reduced their spice levels together like it’s been regulated by the government! I’ve never had a spicy pizza and decided to come here as my mates were talking about it, and boy was I satisfied! Their muddy fries was amazing too! Place was clean and customer service was on point too. Just typing this reviews is making my mouth water, which means I will be visiting real soon again!”

“This place is now under new management, interior looks new and trendy but the food is just as good as before! This is a restaurant where you would come often to have some good no frill honest food, nothing fancy or outstanding just regular Indian food. I did not try the Chinese items, no particular reason just that if I wanted to eat Chinese I would go to a Chinese place. Service was good not sure why there are some negative comments about service. The girl waiting our table was alert and sincere, that is good enough I guess. Definitely worth visiting again! Return visit: tried the Chinese items and they were really good, no complain!”

“Very nice food. Especially the shovel concept is unique and nice. Although service was very poor. The staff were not attentive and infact one member of staff came to ask us if we want anything else probably not realising our order has still not arrived after 40 plus minutes. Would be great of they let the customer know the waiting time for items like shovel.”
