The food was amazing (price was also very low and portions enormous!), the perfect balance between spice and sour (I had their fermented flat bread with 3 different daals and 2 veggie sides). The owner is the sweetest person ever and it is more than clear that this is not a job for him, but a passion. The place is tiny (which is a pro-makes it cozier!) and super welcoming, with decor that makes you truly feel jumping into the Ethiopian culture! They offered me their typical spice tea: a must have! Just a very lovely experience, absolutely recommended if you love simple and authentic things.”

“Convenient and centrally located supermarket. Bright, clean and well laid-out (better than when it used to be Budgens). Not the cheapest place to shop but products are reliably good quality; and there's rarely a queue at the self-service checkouts which makes it quick and efficient. One bugbear is that it's only open until 10pm so it's often already closed by the time I realise I want to buy something (cue a sprint to the Tesco petrol station on the road to St Giles, which operates till 11pm!) But apparently I'm in a minority of folk wanting to make purchases at that hour, since I'm seemingly often the sole customer on my 9:50pm visits.”

“Aldi is so much better these days ! Great prices ,the shop is much neater and more organised .I wish they kept some till because the elderly are getting confused and need help. The self checkout is making the queues shorter and makes the shop less busy but they got stuck sometimes (today twice when scanning my items with no reason) and there were only 2 members of staff helping out. Special buy items are back in this branch after a very long time but I wish they get more ! All in all the shop deserves a 5 stars for the improvement.”

“Absolutely brilliant, food was excellent not from the area, however probably the best Indian I have had. Was very sceptical when we came in as we were the only people in the restaurant. The waiter explained how they had recently opened a diner and they used to just do takeaways so put my mind at rest. As the front is very small I can also understand how people could miss it. Staff were very polite and also had a complementary glass of wine for my girl friends birthday. Overall would highly recommend.”

I’d mention all staff members names but there’s too many to remember, they’re all friendly and know who they are! I’d also like to add the 1 star reviews are pretty misleading as there are plenty of deals to get cheaper pizzas. This pizza only cost me 10£ - tastes amazing never fails - quality is never compromised. No complains best pizza in east London.”
