Having been a few times before, I knew what a great place it was: friendly, welcoming and with delicious food, prepared and served with genuine passion by the owner. “I’m a big fan of this local pub. I used to live just around the corner, and it truly felt like a second home — or even a cosy grandparents’ house. It’s surprisingly spacious, with chic dried flower arrangements on every table (even the cutlery boxes are lovely). The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming, and the staff are friendly, smiling, and attentive — not overbearing, just genuinely kind and efficient. They regularly rotate seasonal beers, so there’s always something new to try, and the food is consistently good. You can watch sports on TV, play darts, enjoy a few board games, and there’s even something to keep the kids entertained. A proper gem of a pub.”

“This hotel/pub it was a nice random place that surprised us with a delicious burger and a nice kind of relaxing atmosphere. Kind of because it is by the main road, but relaxing because it was sunny, you can see Thames river over the road and enjoy a pint and some food. The staff was friendly, quite helpful, and polite even they were massively understaffed and they were running all over. The management should do their job better and not exploy their people, but ot might be the exception as it was a sunny day and lots of people joined us so this time I will not consider this in my review. We will update it if we return, and it will be a similar situation. Parking is available on the back of the hotel or on the side streets, but with limited access.”

The food was delicious, we tried a range of different courses, particularly enjoying the rainbow maki. The service was was super friendly, with the staff going out of their way to make make us feel welcome, including a special birthday desert dish. Thank you very much, we will be back!”

“Malaysian cuisine! Friendly staff and makes you feel very welcomed and comfortable to dine in. Try Makan Makan Fried Rice and tea (hand mixed by Michelle) There's also a Fried Mars Bar!? Worth a try! Restaurant is a bit small with about 5 tables. Reasonably priced.”
