“Found this place by chance on a walk by and it perfectly suited our small party with teens. We got salads for mains and drinks. Service was friendly and very fast. Food was good quality and it wasn't overpriced. Thank you.”

The food was very good, we had a Groupon for the afternoon tea and it's one of the best we've been to, I especially liked the salmon tataki sandwiches and the cheesecake, definitely recommend. Came back again for dinner and we had small plates, all of them were great. Especially liked the mushroom arancini and the crispy salmon tacos. The chicken bao bun was amazing too, would suggest if the bao could make 2 smaller ones instead of one large then easier to share.”

“Freshest breakfast in Borehamwood! Barracuda is known for lunch and dinner, but their breakfast deserves far more attention. I had the Mediterranean breakfast with sourdough and an iced coffee — perfectly poached eggs, browned halloumi, fresh avocado and spinach, seasoned olives, and grilled tomato. It’s by far the freshest, most balanced breakfast in the area. Most cafés nearby are just average greasy spoons, but this is on a completely different level. If people don’t support places like this, they won’t last — and Borehamwood will only be left with the bland, profit-driven cafés. This breakfast is being overlooked and deserves more people coming in.”

“Basil Lounge is the best experience for meeting up with friends, hanging out even on your own. It's Local and it's nice. You can bring your own alcohol because the place doesn't hold a drinks licence to sell alcohol but your welcome to bring your own. I don't think many people realise its a SHISHA lounge, if you know what shisha is then you know. They have many yummy shisha flavours and coals are topped up when needed. Go and you just might be a regular :).”

“This is such a wonderful, traditional pub. I had lunch with my brother & nephew last Wednesday, for my birthday. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food we ordered and were impressed by the quality and quantity, at a very reasonable price. Thank you also to Curtis for the excellent service. “Honestly one of the best Kebab places I’ve been to. The chicken was so juicy, the salad was one of the freshest I’ve ever had, the bread and sauces were absolutely perfect. Only the lamb was a little tough but still had so much flavour. Amazing place.”

“I previously had the mixed grill, and that was tasty& rich, enough to fill 4 very hungry men. Traditional soups are very tasty(if that's your thing), and was pleasantly surprised about the burgers. The service was really good as well!”

“I usually come here on a solo-mission when local. The staff have always seated me quickly and are generally very kind. Food is served promptly, hot and well prepared. Cannot fault it tbh. Does this rank within my top 5 Nando's? I'm not sure, but it's a close competitor.”

“Highly Recommended We ordered pizza from the Borehamwood branch and it was amazing. Thanks to Sunny, who was working in the shop and he was welcoming, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect with our order. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The pizzas arrived hot, fresh, and right on time. The crust was soft with a nice crisp edge, and the toppings were generous.”

“We had a pleasant stay at the Ibis hotel, very close to public transport and leisure activity centre. Also a large parking to choose from, so no issue coming here by car. The hotel had a nice atmosphere and a good reception area The rooms were cleaned very well by Gogu and Mariana, so thank you to them. Only beware the bathrooms are rather small, but otherwise would recommend this hotel to anyone considering it.”

“We stay at a lot of Premier Inn’s when going on mini-breaks with the kids and this is probably the favourite one we’ve stayed in. Excellent location, close to Warner Bros / Harry Potter tour. Room (Quad / Family) was clean and spacious. Great air conditioning too. Breakfast (cooked by Frank) was delicious and well presented (Eggs were cooked to order). All of the staff (especially Marie/Maria) were pleasant, friendly and very helpful. The whole place had a nice, relaxed vibe. Would definitely recommend.”

“Amazing food and great service. The 2 of us enjoyed a starter, king Prawns and calamari, and main course each, spaghetti with king Prawns and penne with salmon. All dishes presented beautifully and tasted delicious! Best Italian food compared to Zizzi and Pizza Express. Staff were friendly yet professional especially Melania who served us, always a smile on her face. Highly recommended and will definitely come again soon.”

“Staying locally for work at the local studios. We found Paolo's on Google. Arrived, seen to very quickly. Lovely young lad serving us (Elli - shout out). The owner and his wife were in the restaurant. Very friendly, chatty, polite, courteous, accommodating and overall lovely. We had beers and wine to drink - no complaints, all good. Now on to the main subject matter: the food. Very good. Well above average. Recommendable. We are from London, so have eaten at many Italian restaurants. Paolo's is in the top 3 I can think of. What we had as outstanding, furthermore. We will likely go back again tonight. The bill was £130 for numerous starters, mains, sides and alcoholic drinks. Like I said; no complaints. Thanks for looking after us - see you again soon!!”

“Had one of the best pastries here - The Cruffin!!! Delicious and filled with cheese cake & available flavours - we had Blackberry. It was the best ever.... The staff are friendly and warm. Set near the Aldenham Country Farm, the cafe has warm indoor seating and a large tent, just like camping.”

“Recently reopened under a new management team, Linger & Taste is a fantastic spot for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. We went for breakfast this morning, and were greeted by a friendly team, quick and attentive service and a welcoming atmosphere. The food is well priced, ample portions and exactly what you should expect from a casual breakfast spot. They have the traditional British breakfast combinations, as well as omelettes, smoothies, and other lighter options. Value for money is perfect. I would definitely come back and would be excited to try lunch or dinner menu options.”

“Popped in for brunch on a Sunday morning. Food is the standout for me here. It's great quality for a very reasonable price. We had one of the breakfasts, a shake and a juice between us - sausage was amazing, eggs poached perfectly, toast well buttered and baked beans not too runny. Both the shake and the juice were exactly as advertised and we really enjoyed them. The menu as a whole is excellent and the plates on the other tables looked equally as good. Only thing i would say is that if you like your cafes on the quieter side then Sundays morning possibly not for you. Complete recommend. You won't be dissapointed.”

I had the mixed grill, which was excellent — generous portion with a great variety of meats to try, all cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The food overall was great and not terribly priced for the quality and portion size. A very enjoyable experience, and I’d definitely return next time I’m in the area. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great Turkish food and warm, friendly service.”

“I have been coming here for many years and they never disappoint, today the fish was so delicious. The only thing I would say I love the small crispy bits of chips at the bottom I guess it depends on how fresh the chips are.”
