“We popped in to look at some soft furnishings after previously visiting and having a very happy experience about two years ago.. So thinking we’d have a look about which we did only for the staff to recognise us (from 2 years previously) and be aware of what we had purchased and where we were from.. absolutely outstanding service, the owner should be very very happy with his staff. The service we always receive is second to none. So to be recognised from a previous purchase is fantastic.. Btw the furniture we purchased is still as new… So no need to go to the big furniture companies and be a number, just visit The London Road Furniture Company and feel as an individual and very valued.. “We were stranded in the area with our luggage after arriving in the UK a few hours before and it was no issue going in with all our stuff. The staff was incredibly nice and the food and drinks were very delicious. They also have an option to order smaller portions of the same dishes with -25% off the original price which was great for our friend with smaller appetite. Will go there again!”

Since its founding in 1958, Maharani has stood as a cherished landmark of authentic Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine, right in the heart of South London. Even more exciting, the owner shared plans for a complete refurbishment, which will introduce a fresh, contemporary ambience while preserving the restaurant’s unwavering commitment to culinary excellence. Our party of four embarked on a memorable culinary journey guided by recommendations from our generous host and the accomplished manager, Alex—a Scotsman delightfully at home running an Indian curry house. We began with starters of crispy Bengali Fried Sardines and succulent Lamb Shashliks served with fluffy Peshwari Naan. The main courses were simply outstanding: a beautifully slow-cooked Parsi Lamb Dhansak, a rich and flavourful Chittagong King Prawn Bhuna, and an array of classic sides including Tarka Daal, Saag, and crisp Bhajis. Each dish was faultless—bursting with authenticity and flavour. Equally impressive was the service. I only write this review because of other low rated review that was written before and I was worry before I come BUT NOT anymore after I am staying right now on July 2022. Everything is great especially with this price. They even put microwave and refrigerator that I don't see it in my Marriott Hotel that I stayed last week. For your information, it is a little far from train station and NO air condition for American. Other than that I can't ask for more with this price that is around the same as HOSTELS and NEARER to London than other cheap motels, hotels with your own clean room.”

They also created a colour board so that I could choose the perfect colour. The job took about 2 to 3 weeks which involved painting and changing handles.
