“This gem of a local cafe, situated in the Battle of Britain Bunker visitor centre, is a lovely spot to drop into for a quick cuppa, maybe a slice of cake, or a freshly made sandwich. The food is always tasty, the prices entirely reasonable by London standards, and the service never anything less than first class. And this is a standard it's been able to maintain from the day it first opened its doors.”

“Huge thank you to Louise and Alvina for taking such excellent care of my elderly house bun Dora while we were away. Dora is 12 and has a range of medical conditions that mean she needs extra care (she’s blind and has arthritis). Unlike some places I contacted the Woodcroft Warren team weren’t phased by this at all. Following her stay in one of the clean, roomy indoor pens she has come home very relaxed and happy. We will definitely be using you again for her next holiday!”

“Before my football match i popped down to this café , it is a real gem. Not only is the food halal and very well prepared, but the customer service truly stands out. Sadly it’s time to say goodbye to Antonis and his beautiful family, who were always so kind and hospitable. Thank you for making us feel like family and serving the best Greek feast every time! “Discovered during covid when visiting hospital and never stopped going. Delicious breakfast rolls egg and bacon sublime. Also great for full english or jam on toast. Lovely friendly service. “Gorgeous pub, nice service. I had the surf and turf and have to say both steak and lobster were delicious. Cooked to perfection. The chips were lovely too. Others had sausages and mash, smoked salmon sandwich and the ribs. There were empty plates and reduced chatter as we all enjoyed our food. It’s a ye olde world pub which has bundles of character. There’s parking there too which is handy.”

“Honestly - LOVED Megan’s and really didn’t expect to. Came for the ‘neighbours night’ deal which was three courses for £21, and it SLAPPED. Servings were generous, service was great, and the food was delicious. Plus the restaurant has a lovely vibe. Will definitely be back for brunch some time!”

“The Breakfast Bun was absolutely incredible! It consisted of bacon, egg, and sausage served in a soft olive bun, which was by far the most delicious combination I've ever tasted. I stumbled upon this charming little cafe on my way home from a blood test, and I'm so glad I took the detour. This breakfast truly made my day, and I couldn't resist writing a review to express my delight. I devoured the bun so quickly that I completely forgot to take pictures, but I guess that just gives me a perfect excuse to visit again in the future. The only minor suggestion I have is that the egg could have been slightly softer, but regardless, it was still incredibly tasty. For me, it's a solid 5 out of 5 rating. Overall, I highly recommend this cafe to anyone in search of a delightful breakfast experience.”

“Lovely little village pub on outskirts of Epping Forest. Very friendly service, nice atmosphere, Good food, we had two ploughman’s with cheddar, blue cheese and ham which were nice and fresh, two pints of Moretti all for £37 which we thought very reasonable. Good parking, plenty outside seating.”

“The lovely pub hosted our daughter's 40th Birthday party in the side room off the main bar. We were able to decorate the room and also to have a local guitarist entertain us together with a fab face painter. Our party was able to order yummy food and drinks from the bar. I can't thank Nick and his super staff more. Highly recommend this great pub..”

“We had lunch at the cafe during our visit to the Oxleas Woods. Cafe is a minutes walk from the car park- so it is easily accessible. Fairly priced menu. It seems to be very popular- and has loads of seating indoors and outdoors. Long waiting queue to order food- but it was delivered quickly at our table- the meal was simple yet delicious. We had ordered Mexican burger, and toasted ciabatta. Both served hot and fresh. Dogs are allowed within the outer premises of the cafe- but not indoors. The staff were kind and polite.”
