“Just adding this review for balance to the below one about not teaching curriculum if parents wish to enact specific religious beliefs. I don’t think it is fair to mark an institution down for sticking to its policy and teaching the curriculum. I understand religion is a sensitive issue, but in a secular society, it is not the school’s fault if they teach what they are supposed to. Teaching is a tough profession, you can’t teach 35 different versions of the truth to 35 individual pupils based on their parent’s beliefs.”

“Dicky Birds has been the perfect setting for our boy who has been there since 10 months old. We had hunted around local options but were immediately struck by how engaged the staff and babies were. Monica in the ducklings team, alongside Sadia and Elena, have been outstanding and made our boy feel loved and taken care of from the start. He has thrived and enjoyed everything from the food to the play, and is always trying to entice us to stay and play when we come to pick him up. Thank you to the entire team!”

The training is second to none. Each of the training spaces is themed and provides a comfortable learning environment. And the toilets are worth a visit alone!!!”

Capoeira Academy UK is a vibrant martial arts center located at the Sports Centre on Chalton Street in London. “David and Kim teach with such grace and care … firstly to actually teach proper leading and following; but secondly, to build and craft the group ethos in their classes where you can focus on your technique and learning at the same time as connecting with like-minded people who love to dance. They are true professional dance teachers and we have seen so many people (me and my partner included) go from absolute beginner to being able to dance confidently in social milongas under their tutelage”

“Thank you Angelo for preparation and organisation of the last 2 exams. It was handled professionally and with a lot of passion. I was very glad that the teacher was able to run the exam smoothly under a lot of pressure, including some false accusation and childish behaviour from a student during the exam. In the end the exam was complete successfully and we are all very thankful for Angelo for all of his hard work”

“I’ve had conversations on the phone and in person with a number of different staff since my daughter has started full time in Nov 2024. I have been really impressed with them all and the quality of communication I’ve received. It’s always so hard leaving your baby with strangers and I speak from experience of 3 different well-established nurseries (2 of which were rated Outstanding by Ofsted) that my elder child had been at. The experience so far with Boys & Girls Croxley has been really good. The updates via the Blossom app are prompt throughout the day helping me keep up with my daughter’s experience and reassuring me about her wellbeing. The photos and well thought-out daily activities cover a real breadth of topics and developmental opportunities and I’m seeing the positive changes in her as a result. When she has been unfortunate enough to have little accidents or difficulty falling asleep or being upset, the staff have kept me informed and personalised their response to her by calling and making me aware of all the things they have tried and asking if there is anything else they might be able to do to help her feel more comfortable. She has settled in really well and I would highly recommend this nursery to Others based on my experience so far.”

“Our 7 year old daughter attended the British Alevi Federation’s summer SEN holiday camp and had such a positive experience. She was regulated and calm throughout, and we could see how happy and settled she felt in the environment. Camps like this are so rare, and in the past it has been a real struggle to find anything inclusive and supportive. As parents, it truly felt like a Godsend! We are so grateful to the team for organising it and for the care and thought that went into it. We will be booking for the October half term and truly hope this provision will always be available for SEN children. Heartfelt thanks for making such a difference.”

“My son loves going to nursery now. He excitedly runs to get to press the doorbell to go in and comes out smiling at pick up. It wasn't an easy start for him as he hadn't been away from me apart from with a couple of other family members before. Staff were accommodating and mindful of his needs and discussed with me how to help him settle and worked to find a strategy that made him feel nursery was a safe space. They were also very kind when I had my own little wobble as I was feeling worried about the whole situation. I love that new activities are set up each day. Pictures of these and of what the kids are up to are posted on the private parents facebook group a couple times a day. It means we can show my son and chat about his day and what is going on at nursery. It helps build his speech, but also allows us to learn more about who is important to him at nursery and what he enjoys even though he isn't yet able to express it fully in words. My son enjoys being outside. With the nursery's vast garden and free flow between in and outdoors most of the time, he clearly makes the most of it. Good wipe down coat advisable.”
