“A great local cafe run by volunteers for the benefit of the community.”
“Fantastic homemade jammy buns served with beaming smiles, all for a very affordable price. What's not to love? There's a reason there are often 10 people outside. Fab business doing SW London properly proud. Well done ladies.”
“Our son had a football match nearby and we popped into this café — what a hidden gem. A few of us grabbed bacon rolls, coffees and pastries for the parents. Super friendly staff, great coffee, and really lovely pastries and sandwiches. We’ll definitely be back.”
“Nice atmosphere, very cozy and calm. Great coffee and very friendly barista. Would be great if I could buy coffee next time for my espresso machine too, just to enjoy at home sometimes. Thank you!”
“Served by a lovely lady, very friendly, quick service. Clean and good food, thank you.”
“It's simply one of the best coffee shops in Hackney. Really, they do great coffee. It's also a carefully curated grocery, where each bottle of wine, beer and food is chosen with a keen and discerning eye. The owners are lovely people, proud to call it my local coffee shop!”
“I went there three times during my trip, and each time was fantastic. The food was amazing, and the staff were incredibly friendly. If you’re ever in the area and hungry, I definitely recommend checking this place out”
“Thought there were no good Cafe's in Swanley until I found this little gem. They even gave me an extra poached egg for free with my brunchfast because they lost a small part of the white on one, which honestly, wasn't even necessary. Good food, Lots of options (Breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinners), friendly staff, and friendly guests too. Will exceed your expectations, hidden off the beaten track.”
“Specialty coffee, rustic, warm and welcoming vibes. Don, the owner is such a nice dude. Coffee is excellent. Homemade tiramisu really good too!”
“The most gorgeous park in central London. Usually you can find a bench to seat on, enjoy the wildlife and beautiful gardens. It’s really not as crowded as you would expect, unless it’s a hot day/holidays. The park is really well maintained, amazing for people who like watching birds.”
“Had a lovely breakfast here. Everything was well cooked and not too greasy. The coffee is great too. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Such lovely vibes. I live locally and don't know why it's taken me so long to try this place but I will be back”
“Great little cafe, very community orientated. Friendly staff, nice menu, lovely surroundings too. Highly recommended, nice background music, good quality of food and drinks, really impressed. If ever I'm passing again, I'll be sure to return.”
“Amazing local park, with a lots of space for activities, mini zoo, coffee shop and sport areas as tennis courts and etc.. Very well maintained! One of my favourite parks in London! ✨”
“Lovely open grounds. Perfect for dog walks and families. Red deer sanctuary, feel free to bring carrots and apples. Tea and cake shop with beautiful vista. Free parking.”
“The food was absolutely amazing fresh, and beautifully presented. On top of that, the new decorations are stunning! The space feels modern, warm, and inviting. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to come back!”
“Under new management, and it's wonderful. They serve Bird & Blend tea and delicious coffee, and some nibbles. More food options coming soon, and they are now open every day -- Hallelujah!”
“I’ve been here many times and it never disappoints. Always the friendliest staff. Delicious coffee and breakfast. And nice big tables and comfortable seating. The local artwork is also really lovely. ✨ ✨”
“My experiences at the Rusty Bike Cafe are BLISSFUL. The food is absolutely DELICIOUS (I recommend the soup with fresh Artisan bread) and the prices are remarkably reasonable (£4 for a generous quantity). The employees are all volunteers and are incredibly sweet. It is nice to sit outside in the summer and inside during the winter. Guaranteed you will leave with a happy belly and a smile on your face.”
“If you're near Kingston, you absolutely must stop by this wonderful cafe. It manages to combine cosy comfort with a level of presentation that turns lunch into a visual feast. The moment you walk in, you understand why people rave about the food selection. Everything from the vibrant salads and freshly prepared "baked" is meticulously displayed. It’s a true "eat with your eyes" experience, where the colours and textures are right there in front of you, making choosing a delicious challenge. But the real, undisputed star of the show is their Lemon-Ginger Honey Tea. It’s the perfect blend of sharp, sweet, and warming, a drink that instantly resets your day. Sometimes I genuinely only visit just for this tea alone, staff is always friendly and would add extra ginger or honey.”
“Consistently excellent service and fantastic coffee! The staff are always warm, welcoming, and attentive. Highly recommended!”
“Fabulous service, foods and fresh tasty coffee's from an independent cafe in a super location which helps lots of lovely young people increase their confidence and experience in the community. Brilliant management thank you for your work with Cafe Sunshine.”
“We visited the park on a summer Monday afternoon. It was quite and tidy, benches and trash cans were everywhere. It has many entrances, so you can walk around or just do a quick jog. Child and dog friendly.”
“Lovely grounds as you drive in to a private housing estate. Vigin Active Gym is very striking as it is a converted church. The sauna used to be a confessional box !”
“Wonderful warm welcome and service with a beaming smile! Top hygiene rating, to boot!”
“So friendly and welcoming. The signature pistachio macchiato was outstanding. Well worth the visit, slightly outside the Grandmaster Palace. I'll definitely be back again”
“I visit Detour regularly. It's a lovely café with tasty, very well presented food. The coffee is delicious & the staff are all so friendly - I love having chats with them! 5 stars all round ⭐️”
“A gem of a place, we received a lovely warm welcome and were made to feel at home by the generous owner. Thank you! We enjoyed our tea and baklava, which was just the right level of sweetness, not overpowering at all. The ambience included a gentle buzz of conversation and was very relaxed. Highly recommended and we'll visit again.”
“Lovely café with a nice range of lunch options. I was pleasantly surprised to see a dedicated kids’ menu – something you don’t come across often. Overall, had a really good experience and would definitely visit again.”
“Really good cafe doing American style breakfast but also other styles such as Mediterranean, English and caribbean. The portions are huge, food is delicious and service is so friendly. Be aware that the chicken wings in breakfast is very very sweet. If you’re not keen on sweet breakfasts, go for a more traditional breakfast. Love it here tho and coffee was good. This is a nice place for a fun breakfast outing on special occasions. I’m not a fan of the iridescent knife and fork but that’s minor !”
“Wonderful calming atmosphere - nice furniture, good lighting, Classic FM gently playing. But not the place to go if you're in a rush! I visited a couple months ago and will return soon. The owner makes lovely strong coffee (I had the macchiato, so I'm sure there are gentler brews!) and takes great care in making sandwiches to order. He's an elderly guy so he's quite slow, but I didn't mind at all. And all for such a low price that I forgot I was even in London!!”
