“100% recommend, this place is so worth a visit. It's got a great aesthetic, full of ambience. Everything we had was delicious! the portions were a good size, after olives and delicious cheesey garlic bread, we took half our pizzas home so we could squeeze in a dessert. Top choice. Made all the better that it's all vegan , all gluten free and Byob.”

“Spacious, contemporary and comfortable inside the restaurant and large, spacious outdoor area so you can dine alfresco with comfortable rattan seating outdoors or modern bench-style seating and chairs inside. Ordered the full veggie breakfast which did not disappoint. It was value for money as it included two eggs sunny side up, mushrooms, tomato, two hash browns, toast with butter, baked beans served in a small bowl and two large sausages which had a delicious seasoned mash potato texture. Tea or filtered coffee is also included in this breakfast option. The service was quick and excellent, staff were very friendly and happy to help with any query we had. We'll definitely be returning. Hope they add pancakes to their menu as my wife kept on tucking into my breakfast which I could have happily eaten myself!”

“We often order from deliveroo (usually when there is a discount, as others said it’s not cheap) and always had good food delivered. There are not many full plant based indian take aways and we enjoy the variety of curries options available. The sides are very good. I think some of the bad reviews might not realise it’s vegan food and expect a cheap take away. The rice portions should be cheaper.”

“The Vegan Bistro is one of my favourite places for breakfast and lunch. I absolutely love their overnight oats with poached apples which I usually enjoy after my morning practice at Triyoga Shoreditch. They are absolutely delicious. Their Acai bowl is to die for! What a TREAT! I often buy their Buddha bowls and Biryani for later as a lunch option. As spoiled as we are in Shoreditch, I must admit that it is not that easy to find a FULLY vegan place that offers takeaway as well. All the food options can also be enjoyed at the premises. Not only the food is delicious and nutritious but it is also extremely well-balanced. This is a very important, often overlooked, aspect. So, I really appreciate it. On top of everything, they offer great coffee. If you are into strong espresso, this is the place for you. The staff is super friendly and attentive.”

The food was amazing (price was also very low and portions enormous!), the perfect balance between spice and sour (I had their fermented flat bread with 3 different daals and 2 veggie sides). The owner is the sweetest person ever and it is more than clear that this is not a job for him, but a passion. The place is tiny (which is a pro-makes it cozier!) and super welcoming, with decor that makes you truly feel jumping into the Ethiopian culture! They offered me their typical spice tea: a must have! Just a very lovely experience, absolutely recommended if you love simple and authentic things.”

“Presentation of food is visually appealing. You also get cutlery, tissues, and sauces on the table. The atmosphere is cozy. Prices are ok. Satisfied with everyting in overall. Burger was a bit heavy to me due to the patty being a bit fatty but it could be something about my personal taste. Constructive feedback: Menu could be more profesionally designed (visuals). “This is everything you want from a steakhouse. Buzzing atmosphere, no bells and whistles, great staff, corkage and above all, top notch scran! The front-of-house lady was welcoming and warm. Our waiter for the evening, Phil, was fantastic all evening. The pigs head on toast was a nice warm up for the pallette, reminiscent of tender pulled pork and drizzled in that delightful Blacklock gravy. We brought a bottle 2018 Berry Bros and Rudd Zinfandel along with us (highly recommended with steak) and it was the cherry on top of our evening. The T-Bone chop was very nice. Although a little on the fatty side, it was cooked beautifully and tasted fresh. The grilled baby gems in anchovie dripping were quite nice but had a little fishy taste to it. The showstopper was the 600g prime rib steak. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned, juicy, tender, and didnt even need a sauce. The green sauce and Blacklock gravy were fantastic sauces however. The chips were spot on, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yes the cheesecake is absolutely the go-to dessert here and it deserves such acclaim.”
