“We went to the restaurant a couple of weeks ago as we wanted to try some authentic Italian food. The service is provided directly by the owner and it feels like you were in some place in Italy. Food was the best quality we have tried in the UK. Again, it makes you feel you are in Italy. The chef cuisine was fantastic and the even combined one of the pizzas with the famous “Porchetta”. “My friends and I were wandering around, hungry and hopeful, when Hawksmoor in Spitalfields caught our eye. From the outside, it looked promising. Inside? Even better. Think cozy wooden furniture, low lights doing their moody thing, and a vibe that says, "Relax, you're in good hands." We grabbed a table, ordered a very charming bottle of Valpolicella, and went for the "let’s share everything and regret nothing" approach. Here’s what we tackled: Old Spot belly ribs, fillet with bone marrow and caramelized onion (fancy but make it delicious), a glorious Chateaubriand, and a Sirloin steak. On the side, we invited spinach with lemon and garlic, roasted sweet potato, mash and gravy, and some crispy beef dripping fries to the party. It was a feast. A glorious, unapologetic feast. Only one tiny hiccup: the fillet was a bit over on the doneness scale – more well-done than medium rare. But honestly, we were too happy and full to care. Everything else was a solid hit. Already plotting our return to see what other tasty surprises the menu’s hiding.”
