“Firstly, I'll start by admitting that I'm am a fairly fussy customer. I've used most of the barbers in the local area over the years and can honestly say that Male Designs is hands down the best I've experienced. They keep up to date with the latest styles so my son is always well looked after. They also have loads of experience with the classics. The team are friendly, accommodating and just generally good people. They are happy to give advice and suggestions on products and styles which might work for you without trying to push expensive products upon you. My dad used Male Designs for years and when he was no longer able to get there unaided we stopped by with his wheelchair (we hadn't even booked ahead). The team rearranged the shop and moved one of the big chairs out of the way to allow him access with his wheelchair. They all took the time to speak/laugh and joke with him like they always had, I could see how much that meant to him. Also the best beard barber I've ever visited. If you're looking for a barber, this is the best in the area. Thank you, keep up the great work.”

“I have been visiting M and R barbers for at least 8 years now. Myself and my son have a re-occurring appointment with Raff or one of his skilled barbers. I have found the staff patient and accommodating with regards to my own time keeping and the temperament of my once toddler-aged son. Raff is passionate about his craft and engaging in conversation. I have enjoyed the beverages on offer during my many visits. I find the process almost automated due to the ease of picking a slot on the app and a barber waiting upon our arrival. We have regular haircuts and I have now added a beard trim to the booking. My father-in-law who lives in the north of the country still books in to see Raff during his regular visits(which is a review unto itself) There is always a smile on our faces leaving the barbers due to its relaxing environment and quality haircuts. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend M and R barbers to anyone in the Guildford area.”

“My experience with Newton Huxley while buying my new home was great. Ella showed me round the property and she was super friendly and knowledgeable. She was very accommodating when I wanted to view the property a second time. I also did other viewings with James who was equally friendly and helpful. “We have taken all of our three Wolfhounds to Beth who all absolutely loved her. She has (and is with our latest - No 3 Dexter) so caring and professional. Even her greeting to us humans is always with a smile. Considering we have had large dogs, this has never been an issue with Beth, on the contrary, she is so relaxed and confident with them. They have all come out looking and smelling lovely. We would recommend Beth 100% - even after moving out of the area, we are more than happy to travel 45 minutes for her expert service. “Expected it to be like any other wine/alcohol shop. Was pleasantly surprised. Stock levels are massive. They have huge selections of every spirits both small batch and mass produced. They do also take custom orders for parties or one off bottles you’d like. Staff were incredibly helpful offering detailed opinions and personal preferences. Very inclusive and welcoming. Openly admitted “the salesman in me says buy the more expensive one. The drinker in me says to buy the cheaper one as you’d enjoy it more” which I find amazing! Gave me tips and pointers for the future. They do also have a very varied collection of hot sauce and BBQ sauce which I’m in love with. New selection every 1-3 months depending on demand. By far my favourite shop for alcohol and a chat!!”

“Visited the Runnymede hospital mainly for physio. My allocated physiotherapist was Joseph who has been amazing. He really listened to me throughout my visits and adjusted my exercises to match my many varied needs. He’s clearly very knowledgeable, in addition to exercises he also told my about shockwave therapy which is a noninvasive therapy (much better than blanket steroid injections typically offered by other therapists for pain management) and promotes actual healing. If I ever needed physiotherapy again I wouldn’t hesitate to book an appointment with Joseph. Thank you so much for everything!”

“We honestly can’t thank the team at Aurua enough for everything they did for our dog, Leo. From the very first consultation to the all-clear after his surgery, their care, communication, and kindness were faultless. Leo’s Journey: Leo is our 4-year-old Chug, and earlier this year, we discovered a lump on his prepuce. It turned out to be a cutaneous mast cell tumour. Understandably, we were worried, but once we were referred to Aurua, we felt confident we were in the right hands. Surgery & Timeline: The whole process moved quickly and smoothly. We had an oncology consultation on 12th March, and Leo had surgery to remove the tumour on 21st March. Everything went well, and he came home the same day. We went back for a follow-up and stitch removal on 11th April, and the recovery since has been brilliant no sign of the tumour returning, and Leo is totally back to himself. • 1st Feb: Initial diagnosis • 26th Feb: Fine Needle Aspiration • 12th March: Oncology consultation • 21st March: Surgery • 11th April: Follow-up & stitch removal • Now: Full recovery and no further issues Communication & Care: Every single person we dealt with at Aurua was lovely kind to Leo, and kind to us. He gets a bit nervous in clinical settings, but they were gentle, calm, and reassuring the whole way through. They kept us updated at every stage and always explained things clearly, without being overly clinical. We felt genuinely cared for. Cost & Insurance: We were quoted £5,000 to £6,000. The total bill for Leo’s treatment was £5,985.21. Our insurance (Animal Friends) covered £2,000 of that for the tumour, with a £99 excess. Aurua were brilliant in helping us handle the claims process, it was all clearly explained, and there were no surprises. Outcome:We’re so relieved to say that Leo is now cancer-free. He’s back to bouncing around the house and being his cheeky self. We couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. Final Thoughts:If you’re looking for a vet who’ll treat your pet like their own, keep you informed, and go the extra mile, Aurua is absolutely the place. They were amazing with Leo, and we’ll always be grateful for the care they gave him — and us.”

“Highly recommend! I used waggy wheels for the first time today with two very untidy cavachons. Alex was very welcoming, showed me his very professional and very clean grooming room. He was very caring and calm towards my fur babies which was great as my youngest pup can get quite nervous. Alex really listened to what I asked for making sure he cut my dogs hair to my liking. My pups where returned to me very happy, looking and smelling gorgeous!! Will be back again for sure!!”
