“My husband and I had been to this restaurant a few years ago for our wedding anniversary which was unfortunately cut short as our youngest son had an incident at school (he's SEN) and we hadn't really thought about it again until today. I had booked a table at a Mexican restaurant in Bexleyheath for my birthday and made them aware it was my birthday. I had turned up at the booked time to be told they had a private function and unceremoniously turned away with zero apology or acknowledgement of the trauma they had caused me! I was absolutely devastated but I saw the sign for Il Vesuvio and some new hope burned in me. Whilst the restaurant was fully booked the staff so kindly found us a table we could have for just under two hours and they treated us like royalty! We enjoyed starters and mains from the main and specials menu (we would have had pudding but we were full!) nothing was too much trouble and everything was gorgeous! I enjoyed whitebait and octopus, whilst my family enjoyed vongole, carbonara and calamari. Everything was piping hot, fresh and delicious and they even gave us some complimentary limoncello! I can't believe I had all but forgotten this absolute gem! Thank you for taking my day from despair to joy and I heartily encourage everyone to come to this amazing venue! Thank you so much for making my birthday so special!”

“I'm not sure what all of the negative reviews are about; this is my first Japanese BBQ; I didn’t even know that there was such a thing. I've tried several Korean BBQ's and the prices for a similar selection of BBQ items is compatible. When I arrived at around 15:00 on a Sunday, the restaurant was empty; no customers whatsoever, this normally sets off alarm bells but Japanese BBQ... That's got to be experienced. Our waiter was attentive and efficient, he explained the process of the using BBQ, but I have to admit I did have to prompt him to get the information else we would have had more food stuck to the BBQ grill. He stated that a BBQ serving was suitable for an individual; I would agree to that if you didn't want any starters or side dishes. We also added Gyoza and noodles; I think that it was a little too much, I think that a single platter for one is correct if you haven't eaten for a few days. We chose one selection the chefs choice of mixed meats and one selection of seafood; we ate it all but I felt uncomfortably full afterwards; so much for my plan of a "light lunch". I will eat here again as I love Korean BBQ and this is on par with that with the advantage of not having to travel to New Malden.”

“Everything about this place is amazing. From the food to the drinks. The coffee reminds you of the Italian one with the price and taste. Shakil mama with his great customer service will make your time here worth your while. I recommend the Katsu Curry and the Momo’s. Their noodles are delicious too. Made by their Chef Roman, the main man.”

“Roof garden is a lovely spot of quiet on a sunny day. Kata kitchen has excellent meat and vegan options. Definitely check it out and get a cocktail if you're feeling fancy”

“Went Sunday night and it was quiet inside but the food did not disappoint at all. This will now become my goto Turkish even though I live close to yaprak in eastcote I think this is worth the 20 minute drive for the better food. Price is similar. I thought the seasoning and quality of the meat was better. Next time I am bringing my kids to see what they think but I think they will agree”

“I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Everything was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself was very clean, including the toilets, which shows great attention to detail and hygiene. The staff provided excellent service — friendly, attentive, and professional. Even the manager Saman came by to check on our table many times and make sure everything was perfect. It’s clear they truly care about their customers. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and great service!”

“Went here for brunch and really enjoyed their portion sizes and their wide variety of brunch/breakfast options. Their full English breakfast was great value for money and was really filling and great portion sizes. The bacon was crisp and their sausages weren’t too greasy which was a perfect combination. Would highly recommend their brunch for anyone in the area. Their fresh juices were a great complement to the brunch.”

“Our dinner tonight at the Chelsea Corner was hands down the best dinner we’ve had on our 9 day trip to London. Carl and Francis took excellent care of us and made sure we were well taken care of. The Mozzarella garlic bread with caramelized onions was the perfect start to our meal. The pasta was fresh with perfect portion and presentation. I had the prawns, another had the bolognese special, and my daughter only wanted chicken Alfredo, which wasn’t on the menu, but they made it for her and it was delicious! We finished with sorbet and tiramisu which were both light and refreshing. Gent, the bartender, poured excellent drinks and remembered our special orders. If you’re like us and tired of pub food and want something different and satisfying, look no further than Chelsea Corner! I wish it wasn’t so far away from New Jersey. It’s saved for next time though!”

“Just went for the first time and it certainly won’t be my last. It’s an excellent menu, really great options. A good mix of hearty stuff, but nice lighter options too. Meat, fish and veggie options. The place is clean and beautiful, service was spot on and the food was fresh and really well cooked. Absolutely delicious! The prices are really good. Pint of Amstel is £5.50 which is rare these days. The portions were also generous. Can’t wait to go back!”

“Upon arrival i was quickly seen, I was surrounded by 3 business men on lunch and a family of 5 women with a small child who was running around and noisy. So its quite a mixed environment. I ordered quickly a hot drink with salmon and greens. The food came before my drink, after a few minutes my drink came, bit odd as usually drinks arrive before food. The food and drink was delicious, I asked for the bill, and it did take a long time to get to me, but the waitress did apologise. I was sitting by the window on a sunny day, and just wanted to get out to cool down. I wish the bill came quicker.”

“I’m Italian and so have high expectations when it comes to Italian food but this restaurant always exceeds my expectations. Last night I had the best pasta dish I’ve ever tasted (passatelli ascuitti alla norcina). The quality of the ingredients they use is second to none. It’s a lovely authentic family run business (Italian family from Marche) with incredible service and a calm atmosphere. This was my 4th time eating here and it never disappoints!”

We especially overestimated our ability to eat it all as well, which isn't a complaint in the slightest. Portions are more than sizable, food was phenomenal and staff really friendly.
