“We've booked upon cravings of some good authentic italian meal on Mother's day. Deapite it being a busy night,which was expected, the staff managed the rush perfectly and provided friendly and efficient service. We had tasty arancini and fried camembert. The gorgonzola gnocchi were mouthwatering. Premises had a welcoming atmosphere, and the bathroom was sparkly clean and well maintained. We very much enjoyed and look forward to coming again”

“What a pleasant experience. We were greeted at the door and seated by the friendly "Ben" who anticipated our needs throughout the evening. Ben brought us some complimentary warm focaccia and olives to nibble on while we made our menu choices. The menu has a good balance of dishes and I quickly decided on my choices along with a bottle of Ramaro for the table; I have a soft spot for Sicilian red wine. All dishes were well plated and tasted as good as they looked. The portions were also very generous, perhaps "Mama" was in the kitchen dishing the plates. After the meal, there was little room left for dessert, so I shared a panna cotta with my wife; I have to say that it was the best I've ever tasted. My only regret is that I didn't choose one of the seafood dishes, they looked realy appetizing. My relationship with crustacions has always been one where no matter what precautions I take while shelling them, a jet of oil always squirts out and slashes me on my shirt. Perhaps next visit I'll wear on old shirt or a bib; perhaps both.”

“I had the Linguine Granchio at Bella Vita last night and it was absolutely fantastic — perfectly cooked pasta with tender, flavorful crab in a light, aromatic sauce that tasted incredibly fresh. For dessert, the Tiramisu was heavenly — creamy, rich, and just the right balance of coffee and sweetness. Every bite was pure Italian delight! The service was friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!”

“We fancied some seafood and headed down to Seawise Street Seafood Bar. We heard lots of good things and were not disappointed. We ordered the squid rings freshly prepared and cooked, and the butterfly King Prawns we asked for the spicy option. I must say they were the tastiest prawns I've ever had. The squid was delicious too. We also brought some cockles which were plump and not at all gritty, dressed crab and some shell on prawns. The crab came with coriander and red onion, which nicely complimented the crab. Very tasty and would highly recommend. Thank you for our tasty dinner.”

We love going to nice restaurants together, so I was excited to find one on my doorstep. Wow - the food is amazing - every single morsel just delicious. The flavours were all exceptional, but what makes this place so special is the service. Totally relaxed and informal, but with so much care and attention. “I have just been back to PLU, for my third time, and it just keeps getting better. I do not know how this place does not have multiple Michelin stars, it is so much better than all of the 2 starred restaurants I have been to. To think that there is just one chef creating all of these dishes alone in the kitchen is absolutely mind boggling. This restaurant should be top in all of the guides, yet it is just quietly tucked away in St John's Wood and no one seems to know about it. Favourite dishes for me this time round... the tuna, no.. the foie gras, who am I kidding it must be at least one of the parts of the 'lobster trilogy'. Maybe it is easier to decide which of the the two desserts was the best... I said the Opera cake & my other half said definitely the Apple & Blackberry Crumble. Thank goodness you don't need to make choices!”

“This was a great dinner experience with authentic eritrean food! As eritrean tourists on vacation in London we found this place on Google maps, and based on the high reviews, wanted to check it out. The server was very attentive and friendly, and there was a great selection on the menu of both traditional and modern takes on eritrean dishes. We ordered the zigni, derek tibs and habesha salad. The food was phenomenal. I had a lamb shank which melted off the bone. We had a seafood starter and the haloumin which was grand. Nicholas was a gem. This was more of a small family restaurant you would find in Italy or the Balkans where the menu is verbally told and some things were simply not ready at the time we arrived. However, having had the soup and burek we were both very happy with how delicious it was. Unlike a lot of London restaurants the food was more like how my serbian grandma used to make, warm and filling. Thanks for having us and we will be back again soon.”
