“Not been here before. Pleasantly surprised! It's actually a nice little place. Suited to the beer and cider lover, there's a huge selection. No food other than snacks. Unisex WC. If you're thinking of getting there by tram to Beddington Lane and the 463 bus, get off instead at Therapia Lane and there are 2 bus routes to choose from: the S4 and the 463. They're not from the same bus stop, so check your live bus arrivals app while on the tram to decide which one to go for.”

“We had previously used Price Kitchens (15 years ago) and were really happy with the service and quality of the product. When the time came for a new kitchen we shopped around but Price Kitchens continued to be the obvious choice. The price was competitive and the design, supply and installation service offered fitted our needs better than the service that other companies were offering. I had worried that the business had changed ownership but reading the other reviews and chatting it through with Dan put my mind at rest. Had I not read about the change of ownership in a review I would not ever have known. The service this year was just as wonderful as fifteen years ago. Dan was incredibly patient with us requesting little adjustments on so many occasions and the layout of our new kitchen fully reflects how we wanted to use the new space. I had a good idea about how I wanted the kitchen to look but the little details that Dan suggested like curved end panels and the upper glass cabinets have made such a difference. Dan worked incredibly hard to find a wine cooler that met our very specific wish list and it fits the design perfectly. I felt that he was always on top of every detail. Reece and Dorian made the installation process pain free. They spotted little areas where some minor tweaks could be made and worked with Dan to get extra panels to improve the boxing around our existing fridge. The ordering, delivery and installation process was seamless. The updates from Jackie on timings were fantastic. Inevitably there are always going to be little snagging points. Jackie was brilliant at dealing with a quirky tap issue and sourcing the part to fix the problem. We love our new kitchen and would not hesitate to recommend Price Kitchens or use them again.”

“Amazing shop, the vibe is on point. My son had a lip piercing today, and an hour later wanted another piercing on his lip. They gave really truthful advice and said to leave it a week and let the swelling go down. I feel other shops would of just booked him in regardless. So safety for the client was the priority, not taking peoples money just for the sake of it.”

“Just went for the first time and it certainly won’t be my last. It’s an excellent menu, really great options. A good mix of hearty stuff, but nice lighter options too. Meat, fish and veggie options. The place is clean and beautiful, service was spot on and the food was fresh and really well cooked. Absolutely delicious! The prices are really good. Pint of Amstel is £5.50 which is rare these days. The portions were also generous. Can’t wait to go back!”

Half an hour after wandering around this amazing tardis of a shop, in complete awe of the size of the shop and selection of produce, we came out with three bottles of wine and almost a week's worth of shopping! I am a retired convenience store owner myself and, after 40 years in the sector, can safely say, this is the best convenience store you will likely find anywhere in the UK. Plus the staff were all extremely friendly! Well done to the owner of this shop and all their staff, this is a masterclass on how a convenience shop should be run.”

“I just had my first experience shopping at Loupe, Croydon. What an incredible experience. I was made to feel welcome from the minute I walked in. Janet took time to walk me through the showroom and talk me through a number of watches I wanted to try on which was thoroughly enjoyable. Janet was fantastic and knowledgeable throughout my visit. I also spoke with Oshane who also shared his knowledge on Rolex and Tudor and adjusted the watch I purchased to fit. The team were all welcoming and overall I would say this was an extremely luxurious shopping experience. “Had superb vegetarian focaccia (mozzarella, sun-dried tomato, aubergine, olives). Cooked to perfection, crispy outside, melty inside. Generous portion and very reasonable prices. They also sell authentic Italian products - pasta, oils, pasta sauces. Also delicious looking cakes, which I didn't try, as focaccia was substantial! Friendly, helpful staff.”

Its nice to get away from the hussle an bussle of the high street of croydon tho your only just around the corner.. wee places like this are becoming very rare and in time will eventually be pushed out by other big clubs/pubs doing student nights and cheap drinks night, this pub seems to have a loyal community following and long may it last!
