“I have been to this pub a few times.since the new manager took over (i think he has been managing for around 8 months now). They are a very friendly community based team. Today for example a lady in a wheel chair was outside and asked me.to let.thr staff kmow she needed help. Thr manager immediately let.me tell him even though he was really busy. Came out straight away and mads the lady feel special and supported. He even tried to find a comfy seat available for her and one that was not high. When I have been here before the manager was again very chatty and explained he wamts customers.tk feel special and valued. He certainly has achieved this. The ither staff also are friendly and always approachable. You will be served here quickly as they make customers a priority.the food is amazing too.”

“The Southwark tavern was a buzzing hive of busy bees fresh from their work or leisure activities in the london bridge area when i visited on a Saturday night in early-mid august. There was a lively atmosphere and plenty of honey to be found, some in the bottom of a tasty pint of jubel - peach flavoured lager. Whilst i was at the pub one of the staff managed to smash a glass behind the bar: -1 for service due to the trauma i endured when this incident took place. luckily no one was harmed but it was definitely a close call. I was also unable to take a video of the flush functionality of the conveniences within the Southwark tavern as, when i entered the gent's conveniences, there was another gent puking his guts up in there! reassured by his mates that he was ok I decided not to report this infraction to the staff at the Southwark tavern as we've all been there haven't we readers!! The pub seemed ok really, probably better options in the london bridge area but if it's convenient i would go here why not.”

“I had a fantastic experience at the Battleaxes pub. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious. I especially want to mention our waiter, Hayden, who was exceptional. He was extremely understanding and attentive when it came to food allergies, no question was too difficult. His kindness and professionalism really made the visit stand out. “The Sir Michael Balcon is a solid Wetherspoon pub with a relaxed, spacious layout and a good mix of locals and visitors. The food is affordable and reliable — classic pub grub like fish and chips, burgers, and breakfasts served quickly.
