“Have finally find a great place for English breakfast after looking for a while. I am in my late 70's and my appetite is not what it used to be, sadly. I don't want a large breakfast, just a quality one. Thankfully the Grumpy Goose allows me to choose from the extras so I can choose exactly want I want and not waste food. I particularly like the fact that they offer back bacon and not just streaky or pancetta which seems the norms these days. All perfectly cooked, well presented and delicious.”

“This is by far the best fish and chips in the area. I'm not a chip shop chip kinda gal as I usually find them soggy.... Not here though! Their chips are fresh and crispy. Their fish is usually cooked to order and is divine. Oh and their batteres sausage is really good too. The owners and staff are friendly and warm, so much so, we look forward to going in there”

“I honestly never expected to eat so well in a small restaurant in a little-known street in Croydon. After leaving Gatwick airport, I searched on Google Maps for a Japanese restaurant near me that was open until 10pm, I found this one, I was very lucky. I made a big order because we were very hungry. I tried everything and I was very satisfied, especially the fried food. The place is small but well organized and clean, the service was excellent. Beef wrap was to die for, nice beef kofta with a delicious garlic sauce. The Lahmacun was really good as a light main or a starter. Close second star of the show though were the Nachos, cheese layered throughout the nacho chips, fresh guacamole, and stacked with salsa, sour cream and jalapeños. Diet starts next week..”

“Been coming here for over 20 years. They do the best kebabs anywhere. Always have shish kebabs and chips. You get loads of chicken, loads of fresh salad and chips always perfect. I normally collect and see that they always make everything from fresh. Very efficient and never keep you waiting. Ordered for delivery yesterday for a change. Food arrived hot within 30 minutes of order. Delicious.”

Plenty of room on our table, waiting staff were an absolute pleasure, making sure that we had everything we needed and despite some customers on the next table being incredibly rude to the poor waitress they remained cheerful.
