“Wonderful restaurant, beautifully designed although smaller than expected. It was fully booked on a random Wednesday so I think soon they’ll need a bigger restaurant or another restaurant because it is a hit and so you need to book in advance. The food is incredible, the carabinero prawns were so flavoursome and juicy, the meat platter was amazing, serves at least 4 so I think very good value. Even chips were really nice and crispy, Seabass was fresh, everything was delicious with really good portion sizes. I will certainly be returning.”

“Absolute delight! Husband and I dined at Daddy Bao in Tooting on Sunday evening and we could not have a better experience. The restaurant is cozy and has a friendly atmosphere. The team is welcoming and super knowledgeable about the dishes. The food is flavoursome and definitely quench your hunger. Great value for money. We had the Christmas set menu (dumplings and baos with a twist) and supplemented with some more small plates (so much food) and had drinks and dessert for £96 with service charge (that is well deserved). We will surely return to try more dishes!”

“Great pub with excellent range. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The lady who runs the pub is an exceptional host, who makes everyone feel very welcome and at home. Food is excellent - the roasts especially. The roasts are flavoursome, well seasoned, plentiful and excellent value for money. I can't recommend enough. Prawn cocktail was also gorgeous. Dog friendly too.”

My favorite dish is the Mutton Chukka with Parotta and gravy – it’s a must-try. You won’t be disappointed! The food portions are generous and well worth the money. Plus, parking is free after 7 PM. “I ordered starters crispy squid, gizzard and there was another order of chofi. Must say the squid wasn’t nice at all. It was shaped like nuggets not your usual ring shape which made it taste battery instead of tasting the actual squid quite disappointing. Must say the rest of the starters that was ordered were really nice and well seasoned. Also the moko it came with was delicious. I got jollof as takeaway yet to taste it. Deffo do recommend this restaurant service was great.”

“If you're after food and drink, take the review score with a shovelful of salt. Most of the negative reviews are about the hotel, and the pub/restaurant itself has also vastly improved in recent times. We really enjoyed the food - a nice menu including some great tapas, all creatively presented. There is a nice sunny beer garden for the warmer months, plenty of TVs for sporting events and the staff are friendly. This is now our go-to local in the Tooting / Streatham area.”
